Compass does not work

I was hoping to use this app to verify the closest Verizon tower to my house. I’m at one bar in my home. As I drive towards the tower I suspect being my local tower, the signal got stronger and stronger (the bars increased). However, the compass could not find any local towers. I literally parked underneath the tower and it still didn’t see it. I was at 4 bars. Location was enabled and I verified this when using the map. Very disappointed.

The cell tower locator frequently points in a direction where there are no cell towers (such as a Wilderness area). It also won’t show your signal strength, even though older versions of it did (according to screenshots I’ve seen). And it won’t show you the ID and lat/lon of the tower that your phone is using at the moment, so that you can look it up yourself. Pretty much worthless.

Original tests, data usage and comparing performance works for the most part; however, find signal doesn’t find squat. Which is what I really needed it for. I know there’s cellular towers in the area. I’m looking at one but yet the app evidently has its eyes closed shut. Needs work for sure!!
So hopeful this would work!

I downloaded this app after seeing is referenced and recommended by several fellow RVers I mainly wanted to use the tower locator/signal compass feature. Unfortunately I have yet to get it to work. I always get the same “No cell tower located” error. If I am doing something wrong, I certainly can’t figure it out. If I can get that feature to work reliably it would be an easy 5 star app. The other features (speed tests and coverage maps) earned the 2nd star but the most important feature to me just doesn’t work. Would happily take Dev suggestions.

I was starting to get interested in this app but was testing out the accuracy of the tower directional compass when it abruptly quick working. Not sure what happened but without that feature working and working properly this app is completely useless. There are many good speed test apps out there that do the same if not better then this one. What distinguished this app from the others was the tower compass arrow but it quick working. Looks like it’s time to move on again.
Cell tower locations missing / removed

Used to love this app for its tower locations but it is gone now. Would like to see this restored in future updates. Now it’s just another speed test. Don’t fix what isn’t broken. thx
Unexplained ERROR code

I’m no computer guru, so when I first downloaded the app. It seemed to work fine. But soon it started throwing an upload ERROR code and there is no explanation regarding such codes.

Recent changes made this app fully functional again. I use it in my RV to point an external directional cell antenna. Works better than ever.
