This is a good app for haircuts and styles, however the times needs to change for color. There is no possible way to do a color in 2 hours. If a salon closes at 8 o’clock you need to book a color 3-4 hours before closing. Hi lights, Balayage and roots need a minimum of at least 3 hours for placement, application, consultation and processing. As a cosmetologist there is no worse issue then Being over booked. A lot of thought needs to go into this type of app if you are offering personalized services. Not everyone is like Speedy Gonzales. We all need to be on the same page of timing and against styling overbooking. No client likes to be overlapped or under-scheduled.

My only suggestion is for color services, perhaps these could be prompted to call salon for more accurate availability. Since we provide touch ups, multi dimension, even color correction each are more efficiently cared for with more insight toward the specific needs, rather than all being bracketed in the same “time frame” to complete. Otherwise, love the concept!

This app is developed well and works great. My only concern is that time can not be so generalized when it comes to time needed to do a full color service. 2 hours is not enough time to accomplish anything but short hair all one color when you take into consideration the time it takes to go through the consultation, determine what the guest is wanting to achieve and the best way to deliver that desired result, and preform that service. Highlights and balayage are on its own a entirely different beast that can take between 3/4 hours potentially more depending on density, previous color services existing on the hair already, and the result we are trying to achieve. Guests don’t differentiate or understand the bind that booking a color on this app and really wanting a full balayage or highlights can put a salon or stylist in. Speaking from experience there is nothing worse that being double booked because not enough time was allotted to you. This app is defiantly a good start but also needs some work. I hope that the reviews about this problem are acknowledged and there are steps taken to try and resolve this issue.
Appointments only for the day of?

The app seems to be ideal for booking an appointment and getting an adult (male) cut in a reasonable timeframe should not be difficult. But it appears that you can only book for the same day. It would be nice to be able to book a few days in advance to make sure you have a spot. Or am I missing that functionality?

I use SmartStyle, but all this app does is connect you to their number! I already have their number, why do I need an app for that? I thought the whole point was to schedule an appointment through the app for convenience? Useless!
