Not good with iOS 10

Not exactly sure why they won't update this app. Would have never bought a receiver from them had I known their app is so poor. Hoping for an update soon.

It's not recognizing the receiver.. It says searching and forever its searching... any alternative available ?

This app used to work. Now it doesn't.

My TX-NR616 is running the latest firmware. My iPhone SE is running the latest iOS. I have the current version of this software. It used to work great, but now it doesn't. I see in the reviews that I am not along and I hope they fix the app soon.

It works really well with my 8160 stereo receiver. My only complaint is that it doesn't do background refreshing. So every time you switch to another app and back again, it has to reconnect. It's usually a minor annoyance but sometimes it fails to reconnect and I have to close the app completely and re-launch. Other than that, it really makes controlling the receiver much simpler.

Over all it works ok with my TX-8160, but it doesn't always play nice with Airplay on my iPhone. There is only feature I really need that this app doesn't have, is control over switching between my A/B speakers on my TX-8160. Adding A B speaker switching would be great, since my only use of my Onkyo is to switch between my pool speakers and the rest of my speakers throughout my house. TTY hanks.

flat out will not work, iphone brings up an error window stating the app wont work until onkyo updates it. dont waist your time here

Zone 2 control...

Complete garbage has never worked. It's an absolute nightmare trying to connect to my receiver. This is the first and last Onkyo receiver I will buy. Networking works for a few days then you have to unplug the receiver from the wall to get it working again. The app had almost never connected to the receiver.

Spotify in app is challenging
