Utterly useless

Obsidian1111

This very valuable application needs to work perfectly, I don’t know what happened. For several days now, it has been impossible to get a usable hop point. The error: The operation couldn’t be completed. (kCfe blah, blah, blah. Please repair this or stop wasting everyone’s time.

Leaks IP

ThomasHarris007

Browserleaks.com — Check WebRTC public address. IP is exposed. WebRTC has been disabled on the app yet this still happens. Completely unsafe app, abandon this until patch.

Latest update breaking sites & 11” iPad Probs

Eggroll88

Yay for the update. However browser doesn’t display properly on 11 inch iPad and for some sites to work the browser needs to be completely opened up which could be problematic. Captcha probs too.

BEST FOR IOS thus far

JACLYN HEALY

I agree with the previous review 100%. Behaves exactly like tor on pc. And that tor endorses this app to be the best so far for online... privacy. (for the LIFE of me I can’t remember how to spell that word right now ... what is it.... annonomitity? .....no..... annynomitity? ... Nope... wrong again... ananomitity???? .... I give up!) I’m just writing this review so the developer gets the credit he deserves! Whoever rated this app anything less, doesn’t understand tor. It’s a big step forward in the fight for online..... PRIVACY. And SOMEBODY had to make the first move. Those who complain do not have the willpower, motivation or knowledge to do it so be thankful people. Thanks Mike! I appreciate your hard work!

Unable to connect since update!!

Best way to kill time ever!

Was able to connect one time right after the update, long enough to see the warnings for iOS 12.2. However, I have not been able to connect for days now — times out every time. I did not update to 12.2.

How to reload a page via new circuit?

512KB — 32GB

* Please add the ability to add Onion Service v3 authentication keys. * On macOS I click “New circuit for this site” until a stupid site that blocks Tor finally doesn’t. How can I do this with Onion Browser? I dislike being denied being able to read for the mere fact I don’t want to be spied on.

IP address leak - use with care

TheRealElbadoo

Caution: IP address leak on iOS 12.2 with Javascript turned on even if WebRTC is disabled. This is mentioned on the Onion Browser “home” page as an issue on iOS 12.2 and 11.x. Take heed if this is important to you. Yes, it’s possible (probably preferable) to run with Javascript completely disabled by enabling Strict content policy to avoid this problem, but then no website images are displayed. What’s up with that? To demonstrate the IP address leakage, set WebRTC to No and Content Policy to No XHR/etc. Go to browserleaks.com and hit the “IP Address” (lower-case ‘i’ in a circle) link. Does your IP address show in the WebRTC Leak Test ”Public IP Address” field? Note that the actual WebRTC Leak Test page on the site (eighth icon down) does not show an exposed IP address with the same settings.

I am NOT a robot!!!

YaSahiibi

Captcha thing goes through 17 iterations of traffic lights, stairs, a bus, crosswalks, and motorcycles before it finally lets me into the profoundly slowly-loading site, and then each page advance wants more Capthcha trys. Just establish that I’m not a robot BEFORE I GET ONTO ONION, and then send a randomized “not-robot” identifier to any subsequent websites visited. This won’t compromise any security protocols and will drastically reduce the bad reviews... I was trying to buy melon seeds...
