Simply works

DefcaTheInsane

I had an unusual situation. Needed Xbox to be working without tv at all, was moving to another house. I have set the app via WiFi when I was in first house, brought Ethernet cable, console and game pad with me to second house. So basically I had iPad, router and Xbox. Plugged in cable in router, waited a bit for Xbox to get a DHCP from lan and the simply launched Oncast on iPad and boom - a picture of main menu popped. So it seems app binds either to MAC address or Xbox profile ID. And i want to give a huge thanks to devs for this. You really shocked me. Keep it up. Totally worth it’s money. Must buy.

Works!

I was skeptical but it’s so easy to connect and I personally have no lag what’s so ever ! Love it!

Isn’t there going to be a(n) update on when you can take it anywhere with you. So you can play your Xbox one whenever you travel? That would be cool if you can make an update on that.

Best app ever

DO NOT LISTEN TO PEOPLE WHO GAVE LESS THAN 5 STARS BUY THE APP AND ENJOY IT WORKS PERFECTLY ITS BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL XBOX APP ON THE PC. I RECOMMEND YOU TO BUY THE APP ONLY IF YOU HAVE IPAD OR A BIG DISPLAY TO HAVE BEST EXPERIANS

Audio is a little off, but serves its purpose very well!

Like other reviewers have pointed out, this is not an app you want to use to play say higher performance games that require your millisecond-by-millisecond attention because it does rely on 5.5ghz WiFi to maintain video, and audio presumably. That is not the greatest in latency but it works well for games in campaign modes overall. I am hesitant to say co-op, or PVP games again as the latency of sound is rather slower than the latency of video (again, neither is necessarily too slow for gameplay) but this app does its job, so if you want to try it out I highly recommend it. Well worth the $12.00 if you’re without television or like the mobility feature.

It just works.

Can’t believe I hadn’t thought to download this app sooner! I’ve been playing Gears of War 1-4 on my 2017 iPad and it streams beautifully. Direct Bluetooth controller connection (using iOS 13 beta), but being close to your Xbox works too. Make sure your Xbox is hardwired to your router and your device is using a 5GHz connection and you’re golden. Easily worth the $12.

Terrible

I can’t believe I spent 12 dollars only for it to not work! What the hell?!

It’s Not Working Well

I saw some glowing reviews for this app, but now I have a pit in my stomach for spending the dinner fare. I’m running a direct cat7 connection to a fiber network at 1000mbps to my xbox, and sporting an iphone XR. I even cleaned up my NAT for good measure. Tried wrecking the quality, removing the controller, and This app STILL lags to the point of total uselessness. I genuinely wish I hadn’t bought this app.

If your Xbox One has a wired internet connection, this app will stream games to your device with minimal latency. I’ve been playing on my iPhone XR for the past couple weeks and I honestly prefer this to my tv as I’ve always been a fan of handheld gaming. Awesome work devs! Playing Destiny 2 or Monster Hunter World in any room in my house has been Amazing!
