4 stars for the search engine and the ability to be as selective as you want (if you’re willing to fork over the heavy subscription cost). And, at least in urban areas, always seems to be plenty of active members. 1 star for the typical underhanded ways OKC tries to push you into upgrading your membership. How is it that one gets so many more “likes” with a basic membership (which you can’t see unless both members hit the like button, or you upgrade) than with an upgraded one? Just one example. Why not just grow a much larger paying user base by charging a smaller, more reasonable fee, and do away with the b.s…?

Do not pay for the subscription, the likes you are receiving aren’t from your area. They are from the Philippines and Kenya. It’s a waste of money to have a subscription.

iPad app / landscape view gone for good???

What ever happened to the iPad version / landscape view in iPadOS? Why did you get rid of it and now there is only an iPhone-sized app on the iPad? Also, it no longer opens from ok email links since iOS 13.

Seriously the grossest users of all the apps. Not only that but I can’t choose to see only straight men? No matter how many times I set the preference, it reverts to showing me all genders and sexual id’s. Also, doesn’t filter w the search terms you set at all. Ridiculous.

Just beware they don’t send your messages when you send them. They seem to use some sort of their own secret algorithm. I’ve logged off for six months and back on and had someone suddenly have gotten a message from me according to OKC but…I sent it six months ago…after I gave up and got off the app bc I was getting no responses..wth. I’ve seen this multiple times. However the pool here is more interesting and open minded so that’s the big plus

The feature changes, at least on mobile, have moved in a terrible direction. I met my girlfriend of 3 years on here and I can confidently say that I would not have matched with her without paying. It’s really sad to see and I wish someone could fork an open source version of the way this app used to be lol but alas another thing ruined by capitalism
