Married now!
peregrine77pam

I’m a typical urban millennial. I used every dating app on the market out there. I may be biased because I met my now-husband here but OkCupid is my favorite. I haven’t used the app is years (we’ve been together four years now) but I remember it was one of the nicer ones. I liked the fact that there was an emphasis on what the person is like, rather than on superficial things like the photos. Funnily enough, my husband didn’t even have a photo on here but because I read all the long answers he had on his profile (and the fact that we were a 99% match didn’t hurt ?), we clicked and the rest is history. Ultimately, my takeaway from online dating is that it fosters a sort of superficial pickiness that treats individuals as dispensable, rather than as regular people trying to make themselves vulnerable with strangers in order to find love. So I think the way to find success with dating is to be kind to each other and authentic. It’s not about which app you use to meet folks as much as your own mindset when dating. OkCupid helps in that the kinds of folks here tend to care more about who you really are, rather than what they dream you up to be. So you’re in the right place (if there is such a place in the virtual world)! It certainly gave me my happy ending and that earns it my highest rating!

Battery Burner
Glen G

Not only does OKC keep getting worse, but now the app uses so much CPU, it literally burns through the battery and makes my iPhone too hot to hold!!! There is zero reason for this other than bad programming

This superb

Where are my accounts
whatplanetweon16

This app keeps banning my account when I don’t do anything against their guidelines. I know they sell the data to research companies but are they stealing accounts….

O.K. Cupid

Great dating app.

By far the worst dating app available
rushlimbagh

This app is awful for several reasons, as of new updates the amount of likes you can send are very limited, in all of the other competing apps anytime someone likes your profile they are prioritized and show up in your feed. On this app it’s the total opposite, anyone that sends you a message rarely ever shows up in your feed and the app is very intentionally designed this way to sell you its premium feature. The thing is paying for premium on this app is a total rip off, it’s easily the worst premium service of all the other competing dating apps, you may as well throw the money away or spend it on literally any other app. Shady business practices aside the app also crashes frequently. Do yourself a favor and pass on this one. 0/10 wouldn’t use again..

Waste of time for only the top 5% of men
ChicagoVegan1982

If you are a man and do not pull in at least a six figure salary or above, have nearly perfect facial features, six pack abs etc, you WILL be nearly completely ignored on this site. Better be young too. Over 40 need not apply. I meet nearly all the above except I’m over 40 and not one of these women (the few that were likely not bots, Thots or scammers) returned my messages. Most of them are not on here for dating but rather an ego boost. You’d probably need to send out 1000 messages just to get the chance at a first date. And now in the era of COVID - that first “date” would likely be a 5 minute video chat. I honestly think this and all the other dating apps - for men - actually cause depression. Avoid at all costs. Meet people in real life - you’d have a better chance of finding a quality female at Walmart and that’s not saying much.

Skeptical at First
The Watch Commander

It’s been quite some time since I used this app and I was reluctant to do so again. However, I’ve been pleasantly surprised w/ the results. I like that the people are real & their more local than some other sites. I also that you can still select personal preferences. It’s an expensive app but kinda worth it

A new level of greed.
Pecci123

They are taking every feature that used to be free and now charging money to use said features. It wouldn’t surprise me if in a couple of months they start locking Q&As behind a $100 paywall. Instead of thinking of new features, they are being lazy and taking the great free features and charging to use them. Zero innovation. There is almost no difference between OKCupid & Tinder now. An app that used to be unique and different is now nothing more than another generic copy cat dating app.
