New version is so much worse

The new version is dreadful. It has lost a lot of functionality and is not as easy to navigate. The first page is useless. The app no longer lists our doctors and does not provide their phone numbers or addresses. I had to call in an urgent medical request over the weekend and the app no longer facilitates that. I had to do a search in my browser. Please bring back the former one!

What happened to MyChart? If it isn’t broken..,At least one of my providers disappeared from my messaging list. I have a scheduled procedure with a prep within a week with this provider. I scheduled this appointment months ago.The providers office wants me to contact them via MyChart message but the new app won’t allow it. I called MyChart tech support and they told me that if I did not gave an appointment with a Langone provider within the last 3 years , that provider will have disappeared from the messaging list. I told the tech that I saw the provider 2 years ago. The tech then said “ oh I mean 3 years ago.” So they moved the goal post?? I told the tech that the providers office may not know that their patients cannot contact them via messaging and the provider instructed me to message them through the app: did you tell your providers that they may fall off their patients msg list ? The tech then instructed me to basically do her job and call the provider office myself. I told her no that’s your client I’m sorry I don’t work for MyChart, please do that yourself. It’s enough to get saddled with work that your own coworkers fail to complete. No Karen, no MyChart staff please do your jobs.


Used to Be Good, fails 90% of the time to load data

This app used to be so good, but since the upgrade, 90% of the time it fails to load your information. This happens on both wifi and cellular service. Sometimes, scheduling an appointment fails too. It desperately needs another upgrade to fix all the problems, or simply revert back to the old version since that worked. Very frustrating.


Confusing and poor experience

It looks like a middle schooler made this app. Instead of making a smart app that considers what’s important and organizes sheets and content, everything is dumped into long lists with no hierarchy or long menus. It’s difficult to find or understand context because this app doesn’t help you build a mental model of the app’s structure. The ability to change the top level menu items can be helpful, but I doubt most people find and use this. The biggest item when logging into this app is a picture of myself. I know who I am and what I look like, why spend 1/4 of the screen showing that?

I sent a message to the dr today. It shows. He responded, that also is displayed. Then I answered his response, it doesn’t show! I responded again thinking maybe my answer didn’t go through. That isn’t displayed either. So I created a brand new message, sent it. That doesn’t show either! So I had to call the office, they told me they can see the new messages I sent. There is no way to report problems in the app.

This is a terrible website for older patients who have trouble seeing! I know I have the right password to get in, but this refuses to let me in. Please make some improvements!!

Allow sending of PDFs via message

When sending a message to provider, it only allows me to send images (why?) and only 3 at a maximum. Why? I often want to send a PDF or other type of document, ie blood results. I have to take pics of the PDF, and then pick which 3 images are most relevant. Why can’t I just send any type of file, or at least PDFs? Also, could not find where to submit feedback in the app, so here it is.
