Not sure what type of big brother device this is, but after repeatedly receiving error to recognize sensor, decided to pony up the extra 34$ discount offered by hippo to activate this thing and move on with life.

Not sure what the last several reviews had issues with as mine was as simple as it could get. Downloaded the app, followed the instructions and had multiple sensors up and running within 10-15 minutes. Tested all of the sensors and updates are working perfectly through my phone as well.

I got this for free as part of my home insurance. The sensors and bridge were easy to set up and were up and running right away. Great concept, I thought. I have one of the sensors on my front door. Unfortunately, it incorrectly alerts me that my door has been opened. I'll be sitting in my living room looking at the closed door and receive a notification that the door just opened. Thankfully I realized this over the weekend and knew to pay it no mind. Imagine the horror if I had been at work the first time I received this erroneous notification. I tried calibrating it like the manual recommended, but it does not seem to be learning anything. I live alone and it's midnight right now. I'm in bed. Just received a notification that my front door has been opened...

This is how an app is suppose to be designed. Everything works great with the Notion Home Awareness bridge and sensors right out of the box. The interface is beautiful. Please keep up the good work.

The app continues to provide false notifications. Also did manual sync and still no luck. Avoid it if you can.

Used the app to setup my sensors and it was very easy and guided me through the whole process. Sends me notifications very promptly when my sensors detect changes. Seems very stable. Great app!

I also got this for free as part of my homeowners insurance. I really wanted to like it but the interface is difficult to use for no reason. I made an account, then my husband made an account. He set up the bridge on his account and now in order to add me as a manager I need to make a new account. There is no way to add an existing account as a manager once a system is set up. Does that make any sense at all? Lazy programming. We’ll be uninstalling this as soon as possible. Almost bad enough to make us switch to a homeowners insurance.

The bridge uses the iOS app to scan networks known to your phone. However it skips right past the one all my devices are connected to with no discernible reason and tries to connect to some unsecure open wifi in the neighborhood instead. When I attempt to find my own network, it is unlisted. Lack of diagnostics or the ability to put in the information myself makes setup finnicky and I see no way to proceed. The network equipment is all brand new using the latest encryption standards. Personally, I would have preferred a hardwired unit for the bridge as it removes an additional failure point (water heater burst but your wireless access point is down? Tough luck).
