I've had app over a week now. So far so good! It works in the background! I forget I have it activated, then I would notice the VPN logo next to the wifi icon. I'm hoping it continues providing protection without any headaches. If it does I will happily give Nord five stars.

I have a 2-year membership and the reliability has progressively gotten worse since the day I signed up. It’s now at the point where I sometimes spend more time trying to connect to NordVPN then actually getting work done. I use a lot of public Wi-Fi so I rely on VPN to prevent snooping, but when I can’t even connect to NordVPN servers on public networks using iOS and Mac then it’s completely useless to me.
Solid VPN / Fast

Overall Nord is a solid VPN with many configuration options (and tutorials). You can use their app or manually configure to use Openvpn Connect. I switched over because they had config files and instructions for setting up a mini-AP/router that I dedicate to a UK server. The only issue is Amazons app just runs horribly slow or won’t load content (even tried manual UDP & TCP configs and various devices). Saw on Reddit others are having this issue. Other than the above it would be nice if one could select, for example, a server located in a particular U.S. state. A few months back I was using a different VPN. FaceBook went down on the East coast so I jumped on a West coast server and had service.

Everything has worked perfectly so far, tho I’ve only been using the service for a week. I use it on a Mac and iOS. Setup was easy.

Works Great After Fixing Dropped Connections

The app works great for me now that I fixed the dropped issues. Many people have posted about it and I spoke to tech support. I was getting drops between WiFi and cell and vice versa as well as at work between WiFi access points. The solution was in the iOS settings. You need to have “on demand” enabled. Under iPhone settings -> General -> VPN -> click on info button next to NordVPN and make sure Connect on Demand is enabled. The only thing I wish the app could do was disable itself when on certain WiFi (like my home WiFi) or with certain apps (I have issues with Apple App Store and Amazon when on the VPN).
