Useless & Offensive

Tad Binkley

Note: This is a review covers 60 seconds with this app. The moment of launch plus one minute... At 0 seconds from launch, a full-screen “Upgrade Now!” ad pops up requiring me to check one of two boxes. Check the first box to buy their upgrade, check the second box to “continue”. This second option is actually fake. It’s purpose is to trick users who don’t want to upgrade into believing “continue” will just open the app. But it takes you to the same upgrade purchase. The intent is for the user to believe the only way through this screen is to buy an upgrade. I eventually found a tiny “x” in a corner of the screen, which took me to the app. @ 30 seconds, I gave the app permission to access my gps data, from which it pinpointed my location on a map. The app then reported my location, incorrectly, with multiple advertisements popping up continuously in every area of the screen, and reported the outside temperature as 72°, when it was 47°. @ 50 seconds, I recalled the fact that I already bought the upgrade I’m being pressured so desperately to buy, and realized I just threw away 60 seconds of my life. I’d like to think I repurposed that lost minute by committing 15 more to creating this review.

Chinese language after English on location

csarnos

Why is the location name in English followed by a comma then location also written inChinese after the comma?

What happened to current radar

Larry CWI

After a recent update, this app no longer shows current and past radar. Instead is a flaky PREDICTION of what may happen in the future. Now totally useless for current weather.

Radar doesn’t work

Tigerdog9396

I want my money back. This is posted as a NOAA weather. We are in the middle of a bad storm and nothing shows on the radar. I have an iPhone 10 so I know it’s not an issue with my phone.

Use free app

I used to use this all the time. I now use weather channel app!

One minor complaint

unwrittendream

I love this app, worth the money, but I would make it easier to tap to see the weather alerts issued. I have issues getting to the active alerts.

Good radar image, terrible weather prediction.

Kxlb64ert

This app is great if you want to see the radar. The weather prediction in this app for rain in western North Carolina wrong most of the time. I’m learning if it says partly cloudy, most of the time it rains.

Slow decline in accuracy

jstan022

This is by far the best weather app out there. One thing that I do find that I would like to have is a breakdown of the weather in a statement form. "Example.. Tuesday, expect rain starting at 1pm turning into snow. Expected precipitation amount one half inch." Update: This app has decreased in accuracy over the period of time that I have had it. The moment that told me it was time to move on was when it said the High for February 14 2020 in Virginia Beach was 61 and the low was 57 with Heavy Snow.... I’ve moved on to Weatherbug
