Great take on Dream Quest!

Lord Gek

While many have written it off as a slick Dream Quest clone, I see, while you use the same core mechanics, you've added some innovations of your own so it is MORE than a mere clone. My 1 wish, I'd love a scored hardcore mode. While I leave it up to you to figure out how detailed you like to make the scoring system and would be happy enough with just a local leaderboards for each class, the most important aspect is perma-death. The game can be saved mid-run, but the save must be destroyed as the game is reloaded so that a player can't reload a save multiple times.

Great Hard Card Game

Gobind

I’m a huge Yugioh fan so when picking this up, i was ready for some intense card dueling. Presentation is awesome, i just wish each play through was longer or they added a endless mode. With endless you could keep using the deck that you built up but the enemies would get ridiculous. Other than that, the game is amazing!

Hate the fact stealing

Plz stop being a thief.

too hard

JesseWang1992

This game is too hard. Especially for the boss. Is it possible to make it easier?

Beautiful and fun

I am really enjoying this lovely card battling game. It has great graphics and plenty of character. My only gripe (and a minor one) is you basically have to figure out how the game works without any hand holding, but it seems pretty straight forward. For the small asking price and no IAPs, this is a can’t miss!

Intellectual Property Theft

Look this game is actually a ton of fun with clever deck building mechanics. The problem? It is very much a clone of Dream Quest by indie designer Peter Whalen with a (much) slicker presentation. This game is a ton of fun-- because Dream Quest is a ton of fun and in my opinion one of the best games on the App Store. It feels like juuuuuust enough was changed to get around legal issues. Differences to mechanics between these games are minor. Most cards, classes, and monsters are direct carry overs from his game in just about every way. Unless this game was produced with his collaboration or blessing, spend your money on his game and support his work rather than Chinese clients. I'm not opposed to buying products just because they are from China, but many Chinese companies are experts at intellectual property theft and cloning and I have regrets about supporting that tactic with my dollars before I knew what this was.

Entirely unbalanced; Frustratingly hard

JuniorDosMokos

The game completely breaks down in the second chapter, throwing a litany of overpowered enemies that are impossible to win against. It's very frustrating because by then you've invested 10-15 minutes and you're up against enemies who only drop high-end cards several times a row. I've played for hours and it's the same every time with every one of the four playable archetypes. They also need a tutorial or something that explains the rules. Otherwise it would be 5 stars. Fun art, great flow, interesting concept. Edit: I upgraded to 3 stars. There are mechanics which help the difficulty, however they are not explained and even still the game has serious balance issues mid game

Dream Quest Clone

Jon Schu

The game is good, because it’s a clone of an incredible game. Buy Dream Quest instead bc it’s INCREDIBLE and original...whereas this is about 90% a clone.

What is going on?

Colorado Crow

I have no idea how to play this game but it’s really fun and it looks great!! A tutorial would be cool and maybe a way to upgrade cards when you get multiple copies, shoot I’d even pay to buy decks of cards or different characters from different fairy tales. Maybe a better balance against the enemies? I was in a battle that was so involved and time consuming I was personally fatigued afterwards. If you could make small changes and then further down the road add more chapters from different stories this game could be as popular and unstoppable as a bulletproof tiger.

My old review was removed?

Saber Altria

I wrote a lengthy review that was removed about all the bugs in the game, and then explaining how the last bosses were way too powerful and the difficulty spike is too tremendous. I'm not going to rewrite it all but the game has lots of combos that should work that don't work unfortunately. Then the biggest issue is the bosses are horribly imbalanced, making the game 5/5 fun to play, then reaching the boss and the game makes you throw a fit because it's impossible. No updates or email replies, so the dev doesn't seem receptive at all.
