Doesn’t work anymore

I’ve had this for about 4 months. It used to work great, I loved it. For the last month I haven’t been able to get it to connect to my phone. So it’s worthless. Doesn’t serve a purpose anymore. I’ve tried everything I could think of to get it connected again without success.

For the price it’s a great dash cam. Picture is super clear and I like that you can share driving times with people so they know you’re safe. I just wish it didn’t have the app itself didn’t need to be active while driving because this really drains the hell out of my phone battery.

I just absolutely love this dash cam. It’s easy to install and use. Makes it easy for insurance reports in case there is a crash. It’s a must have for drivers.

1) I was t-boned (other driver’s fault). When I went to see the footage that Nexar was supposed to be recording, the exact time slot of the accident is not there. The reps kept telling me the engineering team is looking into it. They couldn’t figure it out and it took my constant following up to learn this! Luckily the other driver was clearly at fault! Imagine if I NEEDED the footage - like I do for incident #2 below. Also, Nexar touts it will detect sudden stops and crashes. I was going 45 mph when the other driver pulled out ftom a private parking lot and hit me square on on the passenger side. No message or anything. SMH! 2) A rideshare passenger reported me for not wearing a mask (I was). I go to pull up the internal recordings ftom the app... I get the message, “this video is no longer part of your dashboard.” The c/s rep had all the answers as to why the app is not to blame... I was told that if Mac desktops are notorious for not reading SD cards larger than 32 GB. AND that I should insert my SD card into a PC to read it. Sure, I have another computer lying around my place! LOL Here’s another UNBELIEVABLE event. Because of issue #1 above, I have 50% of my iPhone’s memory devoted to the Nexar app. Im thinking that since the external video if the ride in question was still viewable, the internal video should be also. Nope! I was told that internal recordings are treated differently and only recorded to the SD card (which will loop and record over what was recorded every 4 hours) So, when you think important footage will be there, it most likely won’t be. I will happily go to Amazon and purchase an all in one camera for $200. My life and reputation are worth it. I just wish Nexar thought so also.

This is my third time trying to find a good clear car cam... By far, this is the most clear and time stamped cam video I have ever had. I recommend it to any professional drivers out there. I also recommend the interior cam as well. Was a little more, but worth every penny... Saved my ass the first week I used it on my new 2020 Challenge. A driver decided to go from the third lane to the far left lane without looking or signals... everyone is ok... Thanks again Nexar...
Over Heat issue!!!

After using this this app, my iPhone is getting over heat . I have never face this issue before when I turned off this app my phone works good ; Nexar need to fix this issues..
