App used to be better

I don't get it, this app used to be better. There is now a fixed list of topics, where as previously you could create topics for anything you wanted, and the app would find relevant articles.

Volume control pop-up

Every news I click on brings up three volume control pop-up. This had been going on for months. I tried to click on the app support link but it goes to nowhere.

Note: I tapped the “App Support” link to get information on issues with this app but there apparently is no support. So much potential but News Republic falls way short. The biggest issue is with filtering the articles. It simply doesn’t work. You can “block this source” or select “less content like this” but nothing is ever filtered. The same lame entertainment and celebrity news just keeps flowing in day after day from the same sources. It’s a deal killer. I also tried contacting support through the app with no response. Deleted.

Was a great app. Now as i move between articles the iphone volume screen keeps popping up. Also problems when going to read source and share link. It locks up the app
Only gives snippets of articles

Decent app but only gives you portions of the articles and then when you click to read the original post, thinking you’ll get the full article, it’s nothing more than what you’ve already read. Wish they would post the entire article instead of just being a tease!
