NBC sports app makes money with commercials. You can get it free with an antenna. Why can’t NBC get the app to work with Apple TV? I am close to conditioning myself to not be interested in sports that NBC is associated with.

Why should I go out and get a digital antenna for something I should be able to get through internet. So dumb.

The amount of bugs in this program are so frustrating. It freezes every few minutes and stops transmitting for unknown reasons too frequently to make it a good app.

Fix the commercials

The commercials interrupt the videos that aren’t even streaming. A break in the video is one thing, but when the video keeps playing during the commercial, you miss great moments. I’m ok with the commercials, just have the video pause while they’re playing. Also stop playing the same exact commercial. Vary it up at least.

Even with my cable subscription I have to watch 3-4 commercials to start a stream and then anywhere from 3-20+ more if I jump ahead. Yesterday I left it play for 10 minutes and the stream never started back up, just continued looping ads.

Disappointing

I rarely rate or write reviews, but this app has us so frustrated. A very small percentage of clips and videos actually play. We keep getting “Oops, there’s been error” on multiply devices on multiple networks. Really frustrating when this is our only option being station overseas to view and support team USA.

Olympic app stinks.

So disappointing. First of all, I can't get it to to go into full or even half screen mode. It's a little sliver across the top of my screen. Second you haven to see an ad before each snippet. You can't even get through a segment without ads.

Downloaded this app since life won’t allow us to be able to stay up for the coverage for Olympics. I thought we could at least see some of the events we missed. Apparently us paying for a limited cable subscription that includes NBC (a FREE channel!) isn’t enough to allow us to watch anything beyond the prime time options. It’s wrong that people even have to have cable to watch this since NBC is supposed to be a public station. Not to mention- the app freezes and closes a lot and doesn’t save your place in whatever you are watching (so if you have to take a break and restart you have to spend 5 minutes trying to get to the spot and rewatch a bunch of commercials). Plus there are SOO many commercials. Too bad NBC cares more about money from the Olympics than making a way for people to be able to see what is happening.

For the money they spend to show the olympics, should be infinitely better

If you say you have the ability to skip between races, actually make sure your app has the ability to do so. Watching commercials and then having the app continue to go back to a live look at an arena with no action happening over and over is outrageous. Over promises and under-delivers.

I just want to watch events live. I get you have to make your money and advertise, but ads in place of live coverage is not cool.
