Used it for planning trip to Yosemite and while on trails. Accurate info and easy to navigate. Slight recommended upgrades would include more non-trail general info (buses, food options) and the ability to locate others on trail would be awesome. But you won't find a better free app for the national parks.

I hiked Acadia solo for the first time and read somewhere that I should download this app. I'm so glad I did! It works offline and has extremely detailed trails as well as recommendations and pictures. I got lost at one point and had no service in the park and the only way I got out of it and knew where I was because of this app. It also helped me navigate around the whole island since most of the island didn't have service and I couldn't use Google Maps. Definitely the best app to use for national parks!

This app has all the trails built-in to it, with geolocation to tell you where you are on the trail - WHILE YOU ARE OFFLINE because most backcountry trails are far away from cell signal. On the upper yosemite falls trail, this app convinced my family to keep going for the spectacular views and the pool before the falls. It is really well done, we saw all the best sights on the best trails thanks to the rankings. Thanks REI for doing this. Bravo!

I hate writing reviews, but I'm actually taking the time to write one for this app. Amazing, super intuitive, super easy navigation, and best of all everything is available offline! This features even family friendly places specific to each park you're looking up! If you're traveling to any of the major national parks like Yosemite or Grand Canyon, download this app!

The app won’t allow me to log in without turning my phone sideways (landscape).

This app is great, because it’s user friendly, and it shows the best trails for hikers of different abilities.

Just hiked in Bryce and Zion and used this app a ton. I like that you can build a to-do list. I love that on the trails, GPS shows where you are on the map and in the elevation profile. That was very handy to know what uphill/downhill you have ahead of you.

It's a beautifully functioning app, highlighting exactly what it needs to: the photos. Exquisitely done, REI, thanks!
