MyStuff2 Pro is free iOS app published by Richard Maddy

Fooled and Ripped Off

Inspector Gadget 2324

I purchased this app believing it is the mobile version of "MYStuff Pro" for mac and syncable - it's not. The logo's of the Mac version and this IOS app are similar and the names very close. It appears however they are not the same company. This app is by Rick Maddy and the desktop version is by Mindersoftware which apparently was first 2009 three years earlier than this app. I wasted $8.99. I was fooled by the similarities. Thank goodness the MYStuff granted a trial period. Buyer beware.

Bad barcode reader

I have a couple apps with barcode scanners so was not prepared for how horrible this one is. It took close to 10 mins to scan 6 items. waste of time if the barcode reader can't work properly.

Exactly what I needed

I've been looking for a good database app for iOS for a while now, ever since I switched from Android since my favorite database app (Memento Database) isn't available on iPhone. This app is perfect! It has a clean interface, easy to use and very customizable so I can have everything from recipes to my DVD collection. Using the family app sharing and iCloud, I even set up a shopping list that my wife can see on her phone too. If you're looking for an app that lets you customize everything about your database and is intuitive to use, then this is it. I was even able to import my old database files from csv so I didn't lose any data in the transfer. EDIT: Is there any way to edit the options for Toggle data? That would be quite useful for binary options, rather than just using lookup lists.

Love this!!!

AukeleR

I love this. It's extremely flexible. It does everything I need to do. Very fast response to my email, within 10 minutes. I was amazed by that. I tried another app at the same time that cost a lot more money and they did not respond to my email at all (won't be using that one). Bottom line: flexible, easy to use, reasonably priced, excellent customer service. What more could you ask for.

Lost all my info!!!

Awful! I had used this app to create an inventory of my extensive book library. It took a long time to add the books and now.... Nothing! Seems they dropped Dropbox connection and all the effort I put in has been lost. A piece of crap App.

Tried all apps .....

C.u.a.

I tried really “all” apps on iphone to organize my books it the first place than, other things. None of them was even near usable for what ecpected. I had to get rid of my hand writing catalogs in this age. This app has good working cloud backup. amazon barcode search. Export import, sharing, everyting. A very good categorizing with easy use. I will be able to categorize my tools, my warehouse, all. I’m glad there are companies who knows what they are doing.

Save your efforts

Without automatic timely synchronization this product is a time bomb. I've been exporting/saving "all categories" and it seemed to be working until after an iOS upgrade and i imported it after it disappeared and there was only 1 of around 15 categories that would load from iCloud. The rest is gone. it took a long time to get that in there, serial numbers and pics... dont give these hacks a dime.

One of the most comprehensive home inventory apps I've seen.

Wittlewooster

This app can keep an impressive amount of information about your household belongings. However, it is really impossible to figure out how to set up and it's tricky to use. From setting up category attributes, product mappings, item groups and item values, which doesn't mean the monetary value of the item, this app finally makes you give up on having an itemized inventory. I realize the app has a high user rating, that's the reason I bought it. But it is just too convoluted to set up if you are not naturally able to set up software or schooled in that field. This app had a couple features that really attracted me to it, but not being able to layout a scheme for this program made them useless.

Just what I was looking for!

This app was just what I was looking for. It is a beautifully designed and simple to use app, yet it is a extremely powerful and customizable. I already had a home inventory in a database app and was able to export it into a cvs file. From there it was a snap to get the data into MyStuff2. This was very important to me. I also like the fact that it has Dropbox support for backing up my data, again very important to me. I also like the fact that there is a full range of options to get my data out of this app if I ever needed to. I really can not think of any ways that this app could be made any better. It is a perfect home inventory app. Now I just need a Mac version.

Exactly what I was looking for!

I have been looking for a good quality multi media cataloging app for a while now. This has everything I have been wanting and am very happy with it. The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 is that I feel it could be more user friendly getting everything to sync between different devices. I finally got it to work but it could have been more fluid. Love this app!
