Great graphics and sound but the gameplay is so abstract and headache-inducing. I suppose if you love the board game, you'll love this. Neither are for me.

Cheaper than the physical game

I've been wanting to get the actual tabletop game, but a lack of time to gather my friends and the cost has kept me from getting it. This is completely scratching that itch. And better yet if I do play the physical game again I'll be well versed in the rules. Don't hesitate to get it.

This sounded like a cool game and started out great. Then it takes a turn in the second or third round. It is massively confusing and no clear direction or tips on how to play. Waste of my money.

I've played the physical game many times and this app is a pretty good reflection of the game. Being the ghost in story mode is weird, not knowing why the AI didn't "get" the clues I gave them. Still working through the game, so I'll update my review later! The most frustrating thing right now is in the final phase of ghost play in story mode, I cannot change the selection of card groups, even by tapping on the psychics or anything. I'm stuck with whatever random set is shown, and trying to give hints to that one instead of a more apt set. This is on iphone 7 with latest updates installed. Does story mode just not let you do this? (In which case, bad choice for a tutorial because it's very unclear what you can do and how to do it) or is this an error?

Love the is game. I have the physical version and this is really close but would love the sound for effect! Don't know what the problem is. That's the only reason it's getting 4 stars. Otherwise great.

Story Mode won't work on phone

I LOVE this game board game wise. Have been playing it for years and converted others into lovers of the game!! Bought the app during a discount time they were running. It suggests to start in story mode but when you do the round as a ghost it won't allow me to choose a psychic to go with. So I just played a few times until I got cards to go with the one that is automatically there. But it won't take me to the next step where they vote now. I can just skip story mode. I know how to play the game (i was just enjoying reading the story) but for those learning a new game your tutorial needs to work!!

Broken Online Play

I love Mysterium. The app is true to the experience of the board game and is just as much fun...except that online play is broken. It's pretty obvious from the get go since there are no available games to join. But it becomes undeniable when you try to create a game and hitting the "Create" button does absolutely nothing. I recommend staying away from this game until they fix online multiplayer.

This is not a game

Not sure what the point of this app is. It is not a game. Silly cards with abstract pictures that you match to other pictures in a nonsensical kind of way. There is no strategy. There is no storyline. I'm deleting it after playing the tutorial twice and the 'game' three times. The entire time I kept thinking "surely, there has to be more to this".
