Good implementation of the board game

Lemur-chan

Mechanically-speaking, at least! Certainly a lot less tedious than setting up all those cards! Pass and play seems to work like a tiny portable version of the full game, but since half the fun of playing the Ghost is listening to the Investigators chatter, online play (while an inevitable option) seems less neat. Could really use a full-screen zoom on the cards rather than the hold-and-drag magnifier for those little details, especially for newcomers who haven't seen the art in person before.

Can’t Play

Dirtbeans

Spent money on the game and cannot progress due to game design. When in landscape I need to pull tokens from top of screen. No matter where I touch near the tokens it opens up my side shortcut menu (that sadly cannot be disabled). As of now it is unplayable so I have to leave at one star due to spending money on effectively nothing.

The story mode AI is pretty stupid.

So overall it is a fun game and makes you think. But the game's"AI" is very VERY useless. In ghost mode, I tend to have more success just picking random crap then actually using logic to get them to guess. And if I somehow DID figure out what they understood, the meaning changed to them immediately afterwards. Seriously this is my biggest complaint. The fact I paid decent money for this app is at least expect the AI to have more intelligence than what it has. There is just now way of knowing what they are doing. Makes it near impossible to move forward in the story.

perfect

Great version of the real game. I like it better because ghost cant give clues by inadvertent facial expressions or noises, etc. Usually flawless gameplay. Needs more players in lobby downgraded from 5 stars because there are far too many people that create private games, and with as few people on the server as we often see, its hard to get into a game. private play only works when you have a crowded network. Get rid of private play option please!!!

Great Port

I am really enjoying the port of this game. Helps with playing the board game itself.

Good game

This is a brilliant game, and surprisingly well implemented for a game that relies so much on human interaction. I primarily play against the computer and it still works really well. Five stars for the game! -1 star: the way they really ham up the occult theming. To me, that is the biggest turn off of the game, and I try to ignore it to focus on the excellent mechanics instead. With the physical game this is mostly easy. The app just shoves it in your face and turns the dial up (primarily in story mode). Boo. -1 star: 1.37gb? Really? For this? The Room 3, a long, fully 3D rendered puzzle game is less than 1gb. This smacks of poor programming. Heartily recommend this game, hope they continue to work on the code.

I love Mysterium!

A wonderful implementation of the board game! I was surprised there was an option for an AI opponent, but it does decently well. But honestly the game is more for playing with actual opponents. For any fan of the board game, I think this is great! Especially for travel!

Toxic players

SwitchKent

Toxic players make this game unbearable to play. They badger you with clairvoyance lights so that your screen lights up like a Las Vegas slot machine, then if you don’t pick their answer, they resort to childish name-calling. I’ve played this game quite a bit, and I’ve discovered 90% of the time, they are wrong. Someone reviewed that there are too many private matches, well honestly, I don’t blame them. Especially when you get into matches with people who would rather verbally assault you than play a game. I’m done with this game. I’ll stick to playing the board game with my friends and family.
