Mazda just updated their app recently and now I've been using it for few days and I have absolutely no problems with the app. Works well - remote start, lock/unlock. You can see your tire pressure, gas/ oil percentage and if your doors or trunk / hood are open or unlocked you can see that as well. Very excited. App works really well now.

I recently bought a new Mazda 3 and I just wanted to give my thoughts on the app. For the most part, it does work. There’s about a 30-45 second delay when preforming any action, and while I don’t like that, for the most part if I was in range I’d just use the fob instead, so this app is only used for remote start for the most part. The other issue I had was in setup, as the “connect code” wouldn’t display on my cars screen until I went to the connected services part of the settings, although that may be on the cars end, and isn’t likely to be a app issue. Bottom line, app works and is free so they aren’t charging you for this functionality(yet) fix the minor issues I described and you have 5/5 for the price.
Doesn’t keep the car started

I connect my car with the app to be able to use the feature where I can start my car work the app, well when I open my car door the shuts off after using the app to start it. What’s the point in the app starting my car if it’s only going to shut off once I open the door. Other wise the app is fine and I like the status features

I think u people on here need to upgrade your iPhones as well as IOS. This app works wonderfully for me. Just the way it suppose to. I love this app, and u all will as well, once u upgrade your iPhones as well as iOS. I don’t have any problems using the app at all. I have an iPhone 8 Plus along with the latest addition of iOS. Works exactly the way it is meant to work. Free for me for 3 years. Not Mazda’s fault that u all don’t have the latest in smart phone software. I love Mazda, and just bought my 3rd Mazda 3. A 2020 red Mazda 3 with all of the bells and whistles. I have no complaints.

This app is totally worthless! I wasted all my time reading the “Terms and Conditions”, then where you have to check the box that you agree, wouldn’t work! I kept pressing it, and nothing!! So then I attempted to push the accept bar, that wouldn’t work either!! Why bother having an app that doesn’t even work!!!

Keeps telling me I’m at guest mode which is not. Deleted 5 minutes after downloaded. Wasting time.
A perfect companion app

Gives you everything you need including remote start, lock and unlock capability and status info of the vehicle. The app works flawlessly, although I did have to reset my password again after signing up for some reason. That said, the only thing that would make it better would be climate controls for the winter.

This application is a hit or miss, mostly a miss. Even if the command, be it a remote start, somehow succeeds in getting through, it gets through with considerable delay. Most of the time the commands fail for whatever reason which make this app complete garbage. For the other reviews mentioning “software updates” or “configuration settings on your phone interfering with operation,” these are paid reviews. My phone has the latest OS and has no modifications whatsoever. Bad application and worse (positive) reviews.
Pretty but not very helpful

The videos on how to use ApplePlay are good and all images and video on app are beautiful and feel luxurious, but beyond that, it’s difficult to navigate the other main feature of current version of this app to see an online vehicle manual. My expectation was a more user friendly search for learning features of my new CX-9, similar to searching the index of the manual without having to dig it out of my glove box. There’s definite room for improvement. I’d also like to see a way to compare my model and year against previous models. As a repeat CX-9 customer it would be nice to be reminded of the improvements I’ve upgraded to.
