Imports don’t work anymore

This use to be a great app. The recipe importer quit working over a year ago.

While I was excited to use this app with it’s simplistic design, I was extremely disappointed to learn that both the app and the website used for RecipeSync are both transmitting usernames and passwords in the clear. Do not use either until they secure things.

I’ve used this app for years, and recommended it to all my friends. I loved it so much. But it seems the developers have abandoned it. There hasn’t been an update in over a year and half the features don’t work. I’m super bummed because I really don’t want to have to re-enter my 700 recipes in a new app, but if the developers don’t update it, eventually the app will no longer be compatible with the current iOS and it won’t work, at which point you’ll lose everything. I definitely wouldn’t start using this app now.

Lost all my recipes. It’s a shame because it worked great before I updated. Some of the recipes can never be recreated from memory. Thanks a lot.

Good but was better

This is my go to app for recipes. I am constantly saving recipes from all different websites. I have over 500 in my recipe book. I used to love this app because it would make importing recipes super easy. There are 12 websites that it should be able to auto import but most of them are not working lately. I am still able to select title, ingredients and directions to import but the auto import was my favorite feature. Once this app is updated this app is a 5 star app again!

I hope there's an update coming to this useful app. There's a lot of room for improvement and the app has the potential.

App needs updating

Importing from most websites hasn’t been working for a year. Most notably allrecipes.com. The developers don’t keep up with website changes. The functionality of the app itself is great, easy to use, love the ability to easily change the recipe amounts. I wish I could download and sync to a computer-based app. Come on developers, keep working on this or will go by the wayside!

This app is wonderful! Albeit sometimes easy import does not work with some websites but it is so easy to copy and paste and it formats perfectly. The developer is responsive so I’ve never had issues. It is so nice to have my recipes handy for shopping. Recommend highly! Just updating to say how much I love this app, I find the copy and past feature works so well, I have saved dozens of recipes especially from Food Network. Did try on my iPad and it is much simpler on the iPhone. Again 5 stars!!

This has been my favorite app for years and I have hundreds of recipes stored in it. Recently it has become impossible to do an easy import from supported sites and now, the email recipes no longer works. The facebook page hasn’t been touched in years and the help email doesn’t even work. This was a great app but if the developers have dropped it, you might want to also.

I recently lost about a years worth of recipes from another app, so I am greatly appreciative that this app backs/syncs everything online. The recipes are clean & clear, and I love that you can add/change the category names on iPad. Improvement feedback- I would love if photos were bigger on the printed recipes. I would also appreciate if you could print your notes and extra pictures, as it is nice to have on the iPad, but doesn't help if you are making a printable recipe book. My last request is to change the formatting when you type "-" in the directions. It is nice that it makes it bigger (like an addition heading), but it comes out larger than the headings that you have for instructions & directions, and it would be nice if it could match. Thank you for this app!! I'm so glad to have it!!
