Customer support is zero! No response!

Giriodi

I use this app everyday with great success but when it comes to customer support you might as well forget it. I use to be able to backup my recipes but now all of that has changed and my recipes cannot be backed up. With new versions of itunes backing up has changed. I asked customer support via email for an explaination of 'recipe sync' but no response. Considering to switching to another app.

Updates seem to be making this worse

Custom imports no longer work... Latest update... Kitchen sync crashes on iphone 5 Down one star- I now have an iphone 6s AND STILL cannot import recipes

Disappointing

I switched to this app when Chef's Hat imploded. I find it very frustrating that I can't import a recipe that I have photographed. Unless I want to search online for a recipe, recipes have to be entered by hand. Getting to a recipe site that is not on the list is a hassle. There is no response from customer support even though there is a "contact us" option. I'm looking for a different app.

Love it!

**Update**. Downgrading this to three stars. I have over 300 recipes in this and now it doesn't seem to be able to handle the volume. Customer service told me to turn the sync off just to be able to use the recipes I have, but then I can't use the grocery list feature (make the list on my iPad, take my iPhone to the store...). Very frustrating. I love to cook so I have lots of recipes!! Searched for an app for my recipes for a while - this one is it! I just wish it would talk to My Fitness Pal so I wouldn't have to type my favorites there for nutrition.

Great app but...

This is THE killer app for recipes. Better than anything I've ever used. But it desperately needs support and updating. The share feature would be awesome to have but it doesn't work at all. Making sure the app's functionality remains up to date with latest iOS versions is essential too. If it's a money thing, I would pay for this app if it meant more support.

Needs meal planning!

I do love this app and have been using it for years, but would really like a feature where I can simply list meals I'm planning for the week- nothing too fancy, i.e., Monday dinner: curried lentils. I also would love a place to create a menu, i.e. List the 3 recipes that I am making for a planned meal for a party I'm having next week. This a great place to download and store recipes!

stinks

The custom import is not working. If I want to add a recipe, I have to add it manually. The custom import feature is the only reason I bought this app.

FIVE STARS!

I love this app. Makes recipe searching and storing beyond easy. And I have my grocery list at my finger tips!!! Highly recommend!!! ??

Great app! Just a couple of suggestions...

A nice idea, but...

I really like this app. I like how easy it is to pull favorite recipes (or new, interesting-looking recipes) from the web into a single place. I like that I can edit/tweak the recipes to my heart's desire. I like how, if I ever want to cook for more or fewer people (i.e., change the yield of a recipe), I can have it automatically calculate new quantities/volumes for the various ingredients called for. There are just a couple of other organizational features I wish it had, without which I cannot give it the full five stars: I wish it were possible to edit the list of categories. For instance, there's no "Italian" category, which I would love to be able to add. There are a number of categories I'd like to add, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. I imagine users' needs in this area are as diverse as the users themselves, and thus the ability to customize how the data is labeled would be nice for a lot of people. I also wish it would accommodate subject headings in a recipe's ingredients list. For instance, if I'm making a salad, I want to be able to visually separate the ingredients for the salad itself and the ingredients for the dressing. If I'm making lasagna, I want to have one section of ingredients for the marinara sauce and one for the cheese filling, etc. I also wish there were a few more cooking web sites that the app would interface with, but I realize that might depend on the meta data, etc. used by the web sites in question, which would be out of the hands of the app's developers. Apart from the first two suggestions I mentioned, my kudos go to the developers of this very handy tool.
