Great app! Keeps our sailors safe!
College-Sailing
We are part of a college sailing team and rely on this app to make certain sailing is safe. We can sail in rainy or even snowy weather with gear to deal with torrents of cold and windy rain and waves but lightening is dangerous. Who wants to be on the water with a 30 foot metal mast begging to be the target of a lightning strike? Radar helps but it doesn't show lightning. This app is perfect and allows us to confidently be on the water with this app giving us plenty of time to head in when lightning approaches.

Great app, I like the fact that it gives you an alert whenever a strike occurs with in a certain distance. It does need to be updated though, it will occasionally crash and when it does crash it starts draining my phone battery. I have to restart my phone to get it to stop.

It has problems detecting recent lightning. If you want a real time tracker, look for something else. However, the notifications are very nice, but, unlike most other apps, in order for it to work properly, your location needs to be on at all times (i personally don't care for everyone to know where i am). Good concept though.

I get the notifications that state lightening strikes are nearby. I open the app to see, as there's not a cloud in the sky. Majority are at least 2 or more hours away from my area. There may be a method to narrow the distance to closer, but I'm just going to rely on another source.

App freezes often on my new iPhone. Doesn't update enough or offer real time tracking. Not user friendly at all.
