During the Covid-19 time, have found the numbers that are reported are not consistent with NC DHHS. Looks like sensationalism is running the editing room. People need news that is accurate! I agree with other reviews that refer to issues with too many ad’s and ad’s that weaves into various stories. Many of these are pure SPAM and are dangerous.

Browsing the app's content is decent and better than the other local news apps as far as content. What brings it down to a three star is the ever annoying notifications they consider breaking news, which is the only one I have set. For instance, just now got an alert on a video of a wood carving artist. How the heck is that breaking news??? I unchecked video updates, which is what this is.

Not to mention, most of the stories appear to have been written by someone with a less-than-third-grade education. Today, 7/8/2020, a divisive story was posted in which surnames weren’t capitalized. I don’t mean it was a one off, I mean the surname of the woman (whose behavior was disgusting, by the way—though I suspect the entire incident was staged) wasn’t capitalized AT ALL. Punctuation was also incorrectly applied, or, not applied where it should have been. If you’re a rabid lefty fanatic looking for a Fox News station in the Piedmont of North Carolina that hates white people and will gladly lick the boots of the rising communist powers in the US, look no further! Fox 8 WGHP is the station for you! They also seem to ignore the fact that day after day after day they are covering more and more black on black crime. That, apparently, doesn’t matter because it doesn’t fit the racism narrative. PS: Emily Byrd is the worst weather person in the history of meteorology. Also, from one highly educated non-white to another, Charles Ewing needs to stop trying to act white and just be himself!

It is slow to download because of all the videos attached to the story. Even if continue reading is selected on the story, it won’t let you read until the video is downloaded. I do not see the need for videos with every story. The app does not update with current stories, especially on weekends. That leads you to believe nothing else is happening.

App crashes every single time I open it. And it constantly happens now. I’ve had this app for years and I’ll be deleting now.
Unusable garbage

Horrible unusable garbage. The ads they serve take so many resources that the articles never load. It’s been like this for 6+ months, worthless

I have had this app for years now. In the past it has been somewhat good. The past few months this app is frustrating. There has been a few updates recently. Since the updates, the app either crashes or freezes 100% of the time. Please take the time to fix all the issues.
