ABOUT ASICS
ASICS is a trusted and respected world leader in running, and MY ASICS was created to bring our sport science to every runner who wants to achieve their running goals.
This is a great training tool that focuses on getting out and running without wasted interval training or added walks. I just want something to track my gear, track my runs, give me some targets and keep me on schedule. It also adjusts easily when life gets in the way of my planned runs. I dumped my other running apps for this.
It's a nice way to plan for an upcoming event. The features, visuals, analysis is all pretty basic. The app frequently duplicates display items on the 'activity' tab. The 'plan' tab counts rest days in your total runs, which is annoying. Overall, little else on offer besides a basic training plan that you can track against. Seems the intent is just for ASICS to collect my location data.
The app is definitely a bit buggy -- reminders don't work, some of the voice guidance is wrong, etc. However, these little problems don't take away from the overall effectiveness and helpfulness of the app. It is a great find for someone looking for a training schedule! :)
There's a lot of different ideas out there for training plans. This one looks as good as any. It's hard to be successful without a plan.
The training intervals look like something I would like, but you can't alter the training days once the plan is set up?!?! I don't want to waste time running 2 weeks of building up at a walking pace when I've been on a different training plan for months, but looks like I can't skip ahead to the appropriate runs, or run on the days it's not raining, etc.
Never syncs the runs correctly, either duplicates them or doesn't record them. Good training program though
This app isn't syncing with the website and not correctly calculating my miles.
Best running plan I've found but wish you could change the days around. If you track a run on a rest day it only shows your run not that it was suppose to be a rest day, making it hard to track if you do your runs on the days it's not scheduled. Very limited customization. Should change it so that you can customize running /rest days and show what was scheduled and accomplished
They updated the app and now I can't see any prior workouts (unless I upgrade??). Used to be good to log workouts.
