Must have app for New Yorkers who think creatively about how the city could have been, and could still be one day.

Would be great if it worked at all. Why do you have to be close to a site to access any data? Vey clunky and slow. Great concept but needs a new design.

Clunky, frustrating

"Out of Range!!" be prepared to see the over and over. Click ok. Click on fuzzy ball and design appears. Is that so difficult? That seems Functional, yes? And the menu options are not intuitively brought up again. Uninstall.

Don't bother if you aren't in NYC.

This app only allows you to view info if you are physically near the proposed site, leaving many interested users unable to enjoy it.

Purely conceptual

Not compatible with the ipod touch.

great idea

This is a great idea - to see the possible futures imagined now that we live in that actual future. The app is a little slow, and the fades in and out while beautiful at first grow quickly old - this should be fixed. That said, for a free app the developers should be commended and strongly encouraged. I'm forever disappointed by people who give one star ratings to apps because they don't have the patience to really consider them in total. People who flipantly rate things in this manner probably never make or contribute anything.

Misguided guide

Outside Food

I love my city, its history, its potential, and its phantoms, but to require the user to go to the actual location to uncover the city's secrets is a fatal flaw in this app. Not even those of us who live here can get to all those places, but we might want to if we had a chance to explore them virtually first--the way exploring other cities through google earth or even traffic cams has inspired me to learn more about those places and dream and plan to travel there. It's a bit like a restaurant guide requiring you to stand outside the restaurant before it will tell you the menu, rating, or even type of cuisine. Reprogram the app into something that realistically works the way people use apps, and I'll reconsider my rating. There are some interface issues--but no compelling reason to fuss further with the app.

Awsome

The app alows locals to navigate the city through space and time. It's requirement to have you visit the site physicaly, makes the information more personable and not just virtual. It's kind of like geotracking, it would be nice to have a teaser so you know where to visit.

Fix it soon!

Very promising app, but very impossible to use. Take a clue from any classic scavenger hunt and GIVE US A CLUE to get us where we want to be. Should we be closer to a certain intersection? Head south or southeast?and what about couchsurfers? Give users more info, make this app accessible!
