Was the best, not anymore

I updated to an iPhone X recently and have changed my review from 5 to 1 star. Can’t pair a heart monitor. Developer keeps saying it will be fixed but it’s been a year now with no fix. Also can no longer share workouts to Facebook.

The most terrible, confusing GPS app I have ever worked with! Yes, I am not that smart, neither that much advanced in working with that kind of stuff, but you don’t have to be a NASA scientist in order to use a GPS either! Straight to the point, what I needed was a simple replacement of a regular GPS device, which will work offline. The crazy thing with that app was the way it downloads maps. Instead of doing it by simply giving me the option of choosing the name of a state from a list, I had to choose and put a whole area in circle and then push download. That’s absolutely ridiculous and confusing since you don’t have the slightest idea of what is downloaded. Plus, let say you want the map of Main downloaded, by putting Main in the circle, you also have to place some of the Canada’s area which I don’t care for! I rather stay stuck with Sygic! Three bucks are not a big deal, the problem is when something is absolutely not user friendly and makes you feel totally dumb!

This is a great GPS app for the iPhone. Works well and reliably. The ability to share locations with other users and see them live in your phone’s screen is a great one! A couple of things I’d like to see: * ability to change line widths of displayed tracks. The line width show is just too fat for my taste. *Ability to import polygons (e.g. property boundaries - though you can fake them by drawing a line in Google Earth which follows the property border, exporting it, and converting to a track using GPS Babel or similar), then importing into MotionX GPS. * expand utility of Live Updates web page to be able to display saved tracks.

I’ve been happy with this app for years – that all my minimal needs. One of my favorite things to do was to attach a photo with every walk/run. But with my new iPhone XR photos will not upload. I have written support twice and receive no response to this issue - definitely not good PR or customer relations. Bummer

Can’t open app because it won’t let me “agree” to terms. (Sends me to text with only option “back”. ??? Also it appears in portrait on landscape and won’t change. Not at all usable. What up?

I have used this app all over the world, Australia, China, Thailand and all over the US. It has never failed to keep my exploits on track. I use it mainly for mountain biking and it does a great job of tracking me even on the most remote trails. It is easy to set up and use and it is shares my track with just a couple of clicks. This is my go to app.

This app is DEAD. #SAD In reply to the developer feedback: Let’s see, on a 1GB connection it takes more than a day to download ONE offline map at max zoom. That is a throttling issue on your end because I suspect again, a lack of investment in this product that we PAID for. It’s been this way since day one so this isn’t a new issue just telling it like it is. Fix it and I will give you 5 stars.

I have been using this app in my Jeep for a while now for off-road travel. Once you get everything loaded into the app, it works great. Since off-roading isn’t something I am able to do ALL the time, there is always a little bit of a learning curve when I go back to use this app and have to remember how to get a new trail loaded in. So some work could be done to improve usability. But again, once you’re set up it works great! The main thing I would like is a way to use this app with apple CarPlay so I can actually see my trail on my screen without needing my phone out. When off-roading it’s easy for your phone to bounce around and get damaged or scratched so being able to use CarPlay and keep the phone safely in the console would be incredible.

I have been using this app for several months now and for my purposes it is the best I have found. It is intuitive but a pdf guide is also available if needed. The track function is great and seems flawless. I use the live updates weekly for running, hiking, and biking. Perfect for letting someone know where you are. Great variety of available maps as well. Sharing tracks is easy. Great App I would highly recommend!!
