Monster used to be a better package, I’ve used it since 1997. One thing bugs me, it seems like the search engine and search capability have gone down hill as recent. I’m searching for a job with a specific four word title in the IT space. It used to be a narrow and focused search, in the past few years however, search has begun yielding numerous jobs that used the four words to describe other jobs, sometimes even pulling up jobs in other industries like nursing. Kind of discouraging. Then there’s also the spam from the “recruiters” who scour the board trolling for a piece of the action. Most of them seem to be from India, get excited telling people with 30 years of experience over entry level jobs, who insist that this is the job for you, even though it might also be 120 miles away, not offer relocation and be a 20-40% cut in pay.

I’m back in the job market after many years. Last time I used Monster it was a dismal flood of mismatched notices that I had to wade through daily; resulting in nothing but frustration. I can’t speak of results yet but y’all have cleaned up your act. Very nice!

Great app, wish you guys would kick Avon and USP out of your job apps. I can expand to a 50 mile radius and still will get 40 Avon and USP applications.
