Someone thought this was a great UX idea, and they were wrongI️ don’t want to waste my time swiping left through the crap matches Monster returns, one by one! I️ want to skim them quickly. Deleting this app.

I just installed the Monster app, and was looking through jobs. I used Swipe to close the job and to go look at the next job. Now I see I “applied” for those jobs using the Swipe! What!

This app is almost completely useless. One earlier review called it the "Tinder app of jobs" and it's absolutely correct. You swipe to apply or say no-there really isn't much thought that goes into applying for these jobs. The job description, requirements, and qualifications are all jumbled into one long essay style section-you aren't able to pick out the important things very easy. I get an email that tells me "10 new nursing jobs in your area" and I open the app and it tells me "no results found." The app isn't in sync with the website at all. Deleting it, found it to be completely unhelpful.

UI is great. Search for Director of Software for example and you will end up seeing clinical, pharmacy, nursing etc director positions. That's a waste of time. This is because of miles filter. This feature is not useful all the times. I live in Dallas and would like to find the positions in NYC and I can't give a NYC 99 miles radius as it doesn't matter which city it is. All I need is to find a position in NYC and I will check my self whether I would like to go to that city or not instead of showing totally in irrelevant positions.

This isn’t a dating app. I just want to see a list of jobs. I have accidentally applied for jobs simply because I hit the screen the wrong way. It’s a pain and the results I get are not worth the trouble.

It feels like they show you openings from companies that pay them, rather than the ones that you actually match with. Some of the searches that I have done on other job apps or sites and been very successful, show "no results" on Monster. Just a bad app overall.

Looking through the app the other night and started swiping. After a while I got distracted and then started swiping the wrong way. Before I knew what was going on I had sent my resume to 10 companies I had no intention of talking to. I figured no big deal, I’ll just flag them as a mistake and withdraw. Nope. Not an option. In fact it doesn’t even appear to log which companies my resume was sent to.
