M6 Wi-Fi Issue

I kind of wished I read the reviews before upgrading to the 6. I had the 4 and didn’t have a issue with it but I also wanted the back coverage as well. Had the 6 professionally installed. Worked great. Wi-Fi worked great and clear video. Loved it and then one day Wi-Fi stopped working. Can’t find a fix company doesn’t answer their phone to assist. Paid good money but reading the reviews I see I’m not the only person with the issue. Is it going to get fixed? If not I’m going to return and look at another dashcam. Sometimes cheaper is better. Good product when it works though. Hope the issue can be addressed. Can we please get a response whether or not this Wifi issue with the app will be fixed so I can move on with a decision on dashcams? Thank you.

I bought this device four days ago, it hasn’t worked once because it would connect to my phone (iPhone). I took it back to the tech who had everyone in the shop try to connect to the WiFi on their phones. The phones that have NOT been updated worked; all of us who updated our phone will not connect. PLEASE fix ASAP so I don’t have to have this whole device removed!

(....Update to original review...) I have been in constant contact with the support team at Momento and this really isn’t their fault. The system works off your phone just like a WiFi drone or camera from any manufacture. When Apple released the 13.0 update for IOS it messed up that connection option. Apple has not done anything to fix the issue but all manufactures that are effected have had to redesign their apps to fix the issue on their side. I found out that Momento has made an updated version of the software that should allow if you work again. They just have to wait for Apple to approve it to be available on the App Store. I called this morning and they are hoping to have this update available in the AppStore as early as tomorrow 10/17/02019. Stopped working yesterday after the latest apple iOS update. Can connect to WiFi from WiFi setting but it still shows WiFi off in app. Try’s to go to the sharing every time you touch it. Update. Was told that Apple was fixing the issue, Apple has come out with 3 updates since the M6 stopped working. Still nothing on an update from Momento. Had to get two M5’s swapped out because they were crap. Switched to the M6 on the third return and it’s crap too.

Same situation as others... the WIFI is not working anymore. The cam is only one month old. Loved it until then. If the company doesn’t answer asap, and fix it, I will return the product ... fortunately I bought a warranty coverage for this type of situation.

There is a bug right now, my personal m6 and my customers are unable to connect to the m6 app and view live even after connecting to the WiFi network broadcasted from the m6. HELP

The M6 works great, but if anyone is experiencing issues with the Wi-Fi connectivity, it’s because of iOS 13. Firstech is working on a patch to resolve the issue; I work at a car audio shop, and we professionally install these or similar products all the time, the rep for the North Texas region came out and explained the issue.

I HAD THE M6 INSTALLED PROFESSIONALLY 10/15/19 AND HAVE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO HOOK UP WITH WIFI. THIS SYSTEM ISN’T CHEAP AND SHOULD WORK!

Sorry you deserve a 4-5 starts because it was working great until I updated the OS and have the new iPhone max pro- the app no longer supports it and sorry- for the price of the dash cam... I have a camera installed and is useless!!? Help- that app should be top priority or send me a screen to view what’s happening. When is this new app getting updated??

From my understanding Momento is in the works of fixing the WiFi issue according to them the new iOS doesn’t support there app so they are updating it and coming out with a new version
