Loved the tours. They really break down why the art is there and what’s important or interesting about it. Kind of like having a personal tour guide without having to follow anyone around. And some of the art here is pretty “tough”, so the explanations help. There are tours on the website also but I think the app is a little easier to use.

I wholeheartedly agree with the reviewer who is disappointed with the changes made for the MoMA app. I would also like to see some of the old features returned, especially the film schedule. To think only of tourists is a great insult to the numerous metropolitan folk who enjoy visiting MoMA on a more frequent basis than tourists.

App is easy to use (a blessing for my mom and dad) and made the visit to MoMA a lot more meaningful. I like modern art a lot but some contemporary really needs a bit of context to appreciate (at least, for me and my visiting parents). Was great to hear the curators explain why something is there and hear artists talk about their reasons for creating. A lot of museums have this content available in some form and people should take advantage of it. You could take a tour led by a professional or listen to the tours yourself. The formal tour is probably a little better but they’re a little prescriptive sometimes—you can feel a little stuck.

It’s OK, I like it. But I like the Old one better. When are the features from the old one going to come back???

Why can't we zoom into images to see the details like when we visit the museum and look at a closeup ???

Seamless design that shows what I’m looking for.... Easy to move from exhibition to exhibition. Content is usually super interesting. Always have it handy when I’m walking through the museum!
