Where did all the features go?

I don’t use the app a lot, but I use it regularly to look for the schedules, opening hours etc. I never used the audio guide. And what did the developer do? Take out all the useful features and left the one feature I as a regular visitor to the museum don’t use. What exactly was the point for doing that?

The old app was much more useful, functional, efficient, and easy to use. For example, where is the film schedule? It's not here. I get it. You want me to visit the website for film information. Okay, I tried. But the webpage is so difficult to find and so full of glitches that I just gave up. In general, this app seems to be built for the occasional tourist rather than the membership. I guess the new building comes with a new business model that chooses to disrespect New Yorkers. Why not create an app that serves both? Nah! There's only 10 million of us but 6 billion potential tourists.

I used the MoMA app often to check hours, member events, and film schedules. Now none of that is available. The benefit of the app was that this info was available offline so I could while on the way there or on the subway. Now what? Please launch a separate app or return the missing information.

Why on earth did MOMA remove all the schedule info from this app? What intern thought that was a good idea?!?

I Want The Old Board Back
All well and fine for those who only use the app to listen to audio tours, but I used it to follow the schedule of film showings. As a member who comes to a number of films this was a great way for me to get a quick look at the schedule. Now I will have to go to the museum website in a browser in order to look up what is showing. What was a great 5 star app for me is now a 1 star app. Please give us back the old app. Or reintroduce the other functionalities into this 'streamlined' app.

Though I do use the app for listening about pieces when I am at the museum, it is not the only reason I use it. I give the sound piece 5 stars but I can't muster more than 1 star for the this terribly disappointing version. Bring back all the other content. I visit from out of town frequently and I use the app to discover what is showing as well as what is upcoming. MOMA should be ashamed for ignoring all the people who use this app for more than listening. Shame, Shame, Shame!
