Question HELP

Alsa7errr

I've used the older version and now I purchase this new version. How can I transfer my family database to this new version ? Help me please.

Amazingly powerful for an app

Docbiz

I bought this after buying the Mac version, which I was very pleased with. While I mostly use this to quickly check and occasionally update facts, as well as show off my trees to friends and family, this app is amazingly full-featured for an app. I'd say it includes about 80% of the views that the full Mac version has. Offers great features for organizing events, sources, media. Syncing my tree has been a breeze (across a mac laptop, desktop, and iPhone). Haven't run into any glitches after about 2 weeks of use. I'm amazed that I can pull up media on the iPhone. Tree design are excellent. Only downside that I could find was that the manual and help guides could offer a bit more depth (for both mac and iPhone versions). However, most of the features have been relative intuitive. I generally think this works better as a companion to the Mac version since data entry on an iphone or iPad is a bit tedious. Overall, I'd highly recommend!

Crashing!

I entered the whole family tree and it worked beautifully. Now, it keeps crashing. Why?

Very disappointed

Entered a huge tree and now app randomly deletes branches, re duplicates entries and shows only a fraction of the data. Total waste of time, sorry

Best app for IPhone

naturefocus

I am using this app to create a gedcom file for John of Gaunt’s direct ancestors, based on Wikipedia. The file consists on nearly 2000 names. This is the only app for the IPhone that I discovered that was up-to-the-task; thus the 5 star rating. It does have a few hitches: (A) There is no undo button (b) The x to clear a field is easily tapped when entering a long line into a field (C) If an person is the ancestor of more than one person on the Ahnentafel Report, the following two problems occur: (1) Although the person is correctly displayed at the first possible position, the highest possible ahnentafel number is assigned. The highest possible number is carried forward to subsequent generation, which ends up in a jumbled numbering mess. To overcome this problem, I manually enter the lowest possible ahnentafel number as part of the title. (2) Subsequent positions on the report the above person do not refer back to the first position. If someone has the gedcom file, they can use the electronic file to find the person by name. But with an extensive data base, this severely limits the use of the ahnentafel file as a stand-alone. The following problem is shared by programs written for the computer and IPhone: The ahentafael report can be printed as s hard copy or as a PDF file, but cannot be printed to Word or Pages. As I previously stated, this is the best app that I found for the IPhone, therefore, I recommend it.

I want my money back.

I’m trying to create a tree and have been told that inserting my wife will not work due to “operation would result in a gender conflict.” So, exactly how is this supposed to work for anyone with gay people in their family trees? Disgusted I spent so much.

Importing previous version files a problem

mcbaldwin

I’ve used a few different versions of this app. I’d assume that since my previous version’s data is on my iPhone that this new version would automatically read and/or import my files. Nope. Description of how to import files via iTunes is incorrect.
