When I had problems the first time, it was a battery issue. They sent me two new ones and the tool to get the battery installed. The next time, the item quit working properly, so they sent a new one. This was over a year after I purchased the Flash. They have showed the kind of service we used to see at our local stores with local owners, when service was truly service. They answer emails, help with issues, and even check back to make sure the problem has been solved.
How to make it smarter

I find it useful ... To a point. Swim with it - great, up to 130 lengths. Stair step with it - it stops itself about 20 min into the routine. If I want it to include anything with walking it has to be on my shoe; any upper body work it has to be on my wrist. Put it in my pocket once and that was a waste. I just don't think it as versatile as advertised. Support has been great. Had issue with watchbands and they were addressed promptly.

Overall it's a simple app that does what it should. Unfortunately, it's buggy and periodically won't sync or loses data.

I've had my misfit for about 3 months and nothing makes me happier then when all my lights flash when I've hit my goal. I've had absolutely no problems with it and have recommended to my friends.
A great example of design failing to solve technology problems
C'mon, c'mon
The misfit is a lousy exercise tracker. Consistently, sync with device results in incorrect updates to the app. I can, right now, look at today's story and add up the steps shown in each exercise session. And that total doesn't match the total at the top of the screen. C'mon. This problem has been solved again and again. The design is beautiful, but who cares, when it doesn't work? Form in the absence of function is, well, pretty but stupid. Nice work.

Keeps resetting

Would give 0 stars if I could. It keeps resetting, forgetting all progress for the day. Has happened multiple times. Got this for lap counting, but it doesn't do that right either. Essentially useless. Will toss it & get a FitBit or something.

I've had mine about a year now. Does what it has to do. Keeps how many steps and how many hour it takes for sleeping. I wear my Misfit 24-7 only take it off when I shower. My husband also has one he had trouble first couple of times, found out that it wasn't doing what it was suppose do, he called the company and they talked for while and they told him, they were going to send a new one. it came in like 3 days. We put the other one in the box and shipped it back. That's what I call great service. They wrote him back to see if everything was going good with it. It was. I say get it try, if not happy send it back. Hope this helps you out.

This is my second shine. Got this one when training for my 1st Tri. The swim tracking was fabulous. Love that it counts my steps fairly accurately even on wrist but not so much on the bike. Great customer support. Us D the light blue app when I lost my device once - and found it!!!! Would recommend.
