what kind of app developer would dare to cripple and downgrade their once great app? MINI/BMW app developer that is! i understand the whole simplify and streamline and clear focus whatnot that some MINI exces talked about BUT you don’t achieve your “focus” by getting rid of all the cool, fun and defining FUNCTIONALITIES of your app! MINI uses their “be focus” excuses to cripple the app by removing most of the frequently used functionalities. Bring BACK Dynamic Music, Mission Control, Web Radio, MINIMALISM & more otherwise i won’t buy the 2016 Clubman (my 3rd MINI)!

I got the Mini Connected package on my car with the sales gimmick of having Facebook on my car and used to love to read the updates while waiting for the kids off school and now is all gone. Such a worthless option now....

Terrible NOT improved

Last update Nov 2015. Keeps disconnecting and very poor user interface to run apps such as Pandora. It takes a long time to "connect" and has to go through a "one time approval" for running an app on my phone. My guess is this was redesigned by lawyers and engineers with no Apple like user ease in mind. Should detect if I have GPS and not install the app map tracker. Please go back to the older version!!! PS: reading other reviews there are many dissatisfied MINI drivers with this app. Falling on deaf ears

Pretty pointless app

This app does less than the previous version, and what it does do is largely pointless. First, the good of the current update. The force meter is cool, and the engine sensors is nice. Now the bad. Streetwise is junk. I don't see the point of recording my past trips. They make a poor source of data for predicting future best routes. By far the most important info for that task is traffic. This app ignores that info. And then there is the point that I want the best route for some place I HAVEN'T been to. This app is worthless for that. Maybe Mini should leave app development to Apple and adopt CarPlay. Or at least allow more developers who actually know how to design software do it for the Mini/BMW platform.

I was looking forward to this feature and now it's gone. If a software update took it away than another update can bring it back!!

Still no Send to Car & it just gets worse

BMW/Mini removed the most useful and fun apps - Send to Car, Minimalism and Mission Control. Avoid this product - AVOID MINI. Not in touch with their customers. I can't believe that a company can be so out of touch with their customers' wants & needs. Taking away features I paid good $ for is like selling me a 6-speed manual and remotely disabling the 6th gear. I feel ripped off - ripped off customers don't become repeat customers.

What is this supposed to do?

I can't even pretend that I understand what this app is supposed to do. It doesn't seem to Connect to my Mini, which is the only thing that I felt it was guaranteed to do. 3 screens that offer tutorials and one that suggests other apps. Is there function here? Ridiculous.

I understand that adding navigation functionality, or even making the app compatible with Apple Maps or Waze, will make Mini Navigation Professional a much less attractive proposition (which is, in all honesty, is not terribly attractive to begin with). What I do not understand, however, is why do I need my previous trips recorded, or broadcast my position with Glimpse? What I want my car to help me with is real-time traffic and, naturally, GPS navigation with a map shown in colors that the display is capable of, not monochrome like it is 2001. Everything else makes driving less safe, as simple as that. Essentially, what this app does is turns a powerful GPS-enabled computer (yes, my iPhone 6) into a useless toy stripped of its most useful functions.

The last update was 12+ months ago (2015). The functionality is outdated and not the high class I would expect from BMW/Mini.
