Useless without checkboxes

The title says it all. I’m trying to move my workflows to a Microsoft on Apple schema and had intended to feature OneNote prominently. Sadly, the iPad version isn’t up to par.

I’m transitioning full time to OneNote after a decade long run with Evernote. I Love the functionality (specifically the sections and the opportunity to link and promote pages). Evernote clearly wins from a picture taking perspective. What’s killing me now and my justification for a low rating is the app keeps crashing. Literally 3 to 5 times per use. It syncs behind the scenes no problem each time it crashes but having to open the app several times to complete a task is pretty frustrating. Please help Microsoft.

Compared to Notabilty there’s no comparison. Its UX is awful as is its UI. That’s been true of MS products since DOS. I have to use OneNote to teach my classes as I write on my iPad and share the online version. It updates immediately. I have found no other app for which that was true. I will politely say it is typical Microsoft.
Frequent Lag, Freezes and Crashes on iPad

Typing on OneNote next to a PDF of a PowerPoint often starts to lag after a while and then it freezes and then the App stops responding to the keyboard. It then either crashes or I would have to close the app and reopen in. For 50 slide lectures this happens at least 6-7 time per session. The iPad Pro is up to date with no problems in speed and response. It is an issue with the OneNote app. Would appreciate the team to optimize the app so it can be more seamless for those using it to type with PDF. Additionally, the cursor disappears after crashing and there is no set method on how to get it back. It just randomly returns after the app crashes a few more times.

It keeps me organized! And helps me keep track of everything at work and at home. I don’t know how I ever functioned without it!
Cannot sync error constantly also no tags??

The app is awesome, except I keep seeing errors like “failed to sync, we will keep trying”. I don’t understand the issue and I cannot dismiss it. Why can’t it just show me the conflicted file(if that is the problem) or in some way narrow down the scope of the problem so I can manually fix it and move on? Or just like dropbox, just make two copies of the messed up note with different dates and id of the device that created it. Even Apple Notes does not have such issues. Also tags. This is not difficult: when the user taps # let it autocomplete to add a custom tag. I am almost reverting to just using #x myself, but it would be nice to see a list of all the tags I previously used.
