I would really like it if the scheduling worked. The tab doesn't load and The scheduling isn't working. My device is 6+ running iOS 9.2. I hope the next version has all the bugs out and I look forward to getting more lights:).

Love the LED light. The app is a little sloppy though. Like others have said, it doesn't work very well with music. And as far as I can tell, there's no way to simply turn the light on or off through the app. I always have to use the switch. Kind of annoying. Seems like a pretty easy fix and I really hope we see support for this soon!


The bulb can't connect

The app looks great and all, but no matter what type of socket I screw the bulb into, the app doesn't allow it to connect and control the bulb

Pretty buggy and ugly. The music feature and schedule doesn't work. There's no way to just turn the light off. Needs a lot of fixing.

UPDATE: Downgraded to One Star since it's quite evident there will not be any upgrades to fix the various bugs and non-functional portions of this app. This original 1.0 version was uploaded almost 5 months ago, and there have been no upgrades, and none of the common complaints have been addressed. If you're lucky enough to be reading this prior to buying the Sharper Image LED bulb, don't do it. Look elsewhere. There are others similar to this one out there that probably offer better support. If you've just bought this bulb and are now downloading the app to control it - unless you're going to be satisfied with a neat bulb, but with a buggy, partially functional app, just return it and get another brand. ORIGINAL: I realize that this is somewhat new technology, so it's understandable that it hasn't been perfected. The bulb itself produces very nice colors across the full spectrum, and the dimmer function of the app is great, but the app doesn't allow accurate pinpointing of the exact color desired. The pic of the app on the box shows a color wheel, a sliding color spectrum, along with three additional slide adjustments: hue, saturation, and lightness. The app has none of those three, making color selection nothing more than just a stab with a finger on a touchscreen color wheel - not really accurate. What would make this app closer to what it should be is the addition of *real controls* over the colors using text box input for RGB and/or hexadecimal. For example, Pure Orange: Hex: #ffa500 RGB: 255, 165, 0 The app also seems to be a bit buggy, as when switched back from being in the background, it leaves little checkmarks all over the preset colors. The color picker from photo is a great idea, but also very erratic. Additionally, the scheduling page for iPhone is entirely non-functional. I originally bought 2 bulbs but had to return one for faulty Bluetooth. I'm keeping this bulb for the novelty of it, but withhold tracking down more until the app is improved to a satisfactory level. If the app is updated to fix the bugs and include direct color selection like I suggested above, I will buy additional bulbs. So for now, Three Stars, with the potential for Five.

First off, scheduling does work. I had to kinda drag my finger on the screen a time or two before the alarm options appeared but it does work. For those who say that you can't turn the bulbs (I currently have 2) on/off without the switch, you can. In the side panel if you press on the actual light bulb icon so that its not filled in white but just the white outline it'll turn it off. My only concern and reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 was because of the music option. Some of my songs will not play and even if I set it to shuffle or repeat it won't continue to play, and I have to manually select a new song. Fix that and I'd be happy to give 5 stars.


Scheduler doesn't work

This would be great if everything worked like it should. The scheduler doesn't work and for whatever reason one of my bulbs will not turn green. I will be checking the others to make sure they can change colors properly.

I just bought the smart bulb, I downloaded the app and the bulb SHOULD connect to the app automatically but I opened the app up and had the light on and it won't even connect, tried on multiple devices and won't connect. Waste of money at this point.
