Graphics are a good reinforcement of the learning process and verbal feedback is on point.

I noticed that when I started, it was quite boring, as I knew all hiragana but only needed to know a few things at the beginning, so I couldn’t take a new placement test to get to where I actually need to be. My favorite feature on the app is the camera that shows you how to say certain things in the language you’re learning by taking pictures of them, but I feel like it needs some improvement and needs more things to take pictures of. I love the app overall, though, and can’t wait to see it grow!

I've only been using this app for a few hours. I am mostly self-taught and I think this app is good for those who are just starting out or are a bit familiar with the language. It seems to be a good tool to reinforce independent study. One thing I would suggest is that for languages with a different writing system, it's better not to rely on romanized spelling of the sounds. In my experience, it's much easier to train your ear to the sounds of each character if you aren't using the English characters as a crutch, since in a lot of cases, the sounds have no absolute English equivalent. I haven't gotten very far into the levels, so I don't know if this changes along the way, but that is the only negative I have found so far. I'm really enjoying this app!! *update* After initial introduction to the writing system/alphabet, the romanization is abandoned, which is great for general memorization of the characters and training your ear to the sounds. I also think picture visuals would be helpful in remembering verbs and vocabulary.

I use the free version and it’s incredible. It puts pictures, words, etc. all to use to really grasp the concepts and find various ways to tie it back.

Listen here you fat greedy pigs, you’re cheap. Learning should be free because it benefits all of us. Don’t worry about your pockets, but if you’re going to be a selfish scum bag, put ads in there to keep it free. Then offer a no ad paid version. Oink oink oink! There is a comrade of mine that uses your particular program and finds it rather enjoyable, but he was not required to bless your pockets with his well earned college savings. He is on Russian 3 and did not pay a penny. So it would be appreciated if you did not charge money to learn a language. When will you learn, that your actions have consequences. Other than that great app.
