Simple and yet powerful

Probably the best camera app. It's so easy to use. You have control over focus, speed, and and ISO. I wish it had the option to save TIFF files.

Awesome

Perfect user interface. Please add histogram.

Focus doesn't work

Helmania

When shooting video, continuous focus doesn't work. Useless!!!

Very well done!

I wish you can lock some of the controls such as shutter speed ect when filming a vid. When you look back to review some of the footage you just took, then go back to record further, the settings all go back to Auto by its self. I wish the settings would stay how I left it.

Good Update ... Still lacking

Max Bess

Has all functions you can get (note: you can't get aperture for any apps) They removed the speed preview which I like however an exposure meter would be fantastic or even a smaller image that does show speed preview (like a FaceTime cam) would help greatly

Manual can be better, has it's bugs...

Love the fact that iOS 8 now has the ability to adjust exposure, and furthermore allowing 3rd party apps like, Manual to exploit that feature. Manual is a good start, but there are a few things that I've come across that I'm hoping will be addressed. Manual slider adjustment for ISO/Shutter needs some sort of customization. It seems impossible to adjust either of those settings to anything "standard". Maybe I'm spoiled by my DSLR, but it would be nice to have an on/off feature in which it allows "Full-Stops", possibly "1/3 Stops" for manual slider adjustments in both ISO and Shutter Speed. When making manual adjustment to ISO and/or Shutter Speed, I wish you can still use Auto Focus by tapping the screen without having the manual adjustment made prior, resorting everything back to auto. With this last update that introduced a histogram, when using it in either portrait or landscape, and then turning off when not, it does not disappear. Also, if I use the histogram in landscape and try turning it off, not only does it not disappear, but when turning it back on, it seems ad though it effects the gyroscope, making the orientation confused, horizontally and vertically. I want to enjoy this app more, but the features and issue I've outlined make it more clunky than anything. Hoping future updates will address the issue, and maybe implement some of the thoughts I've mentioned.

Better than the Manual app!

I bought Manual first, excited by the options with ios8. This is better as it controls more options and does it with video as well. I've had a freeze or two but I'm sure it will be fixed with future updates.

Best manual cam app for video so far

RunningMac

I've tried and purchased quite many apps with manual camera controls, looking for one that allows settings for anything iOS 8 and iPhone 6 have to offer. This one does! Not only can you choose all the different video modes in-app (1080p/60f, 720p/240f etc), you can set shutter speed, focus and ISO manually. If detailed slow-mo is your thing (without motion blur), this is the app you need. It is now my go-to app for these tasks. RECOMMMEND!

Fantastic Replacement to Stock iPhone Camera

Ever since iOS 8 unlocked the manual settings for the camera, I've been looking for an app to fully take advantage of all the new features. I've bought a few other apps only to be sorry I wasted my money. Finally I took a chance on this app and I'm very glad I did. Unlike the app "Manual" which is only a still camera app, this 'Manual Camera' app takes video too and has unlocked all the features there as well! My main reason to purchase an app is that I wanted to take better advantage of the new 240fps video. The default settings don't have a fast enough shutter speed to capture certain things. And even though slowed down, they look like lines instead of still images in each frame of the video. With this app you are able to set the shutter to 1/1000 and actually capture everything in all its slow-mo glory! But still images are great with this as well. Just try and take a photo with the stock iPhone camera app while in a darkish room. Notice how things look a little "grainy"? Try zooming in a bit and you will really see what I mean. With this app you can lower the ISO (go all the way down to 29) and then turn up the shutter speed (to make up for the image getting darker) and now the "grain" is gone and you get a beautiful, low light shot! You may have to steady the camera on a table or against a wall, but that's true of any DSLR in low light situations (only they have a tripod). As to the other comment about not being able to touch the screen and get a new auto focus without messing up other settings, you can change that behavior in the settings. Just select "Gestures" and change the 'Tap to...' setting to "Auto Focus" and not the default "Auto Focus and Exposure" and all is well. So VERY happy with this purchase and I've replaced the stock iPhone camera now with this great app!

Great!

Be careful! I was quick to cry foul, but I found that in the app setting if you change it from auto focus and exposure to just auto focus in the gestures, it will cure an issue with the adjustments you make reverting back to defaults!
