Credit should be given to Mantis for not abandoning its customers when iOS 11 proved incompatible with their original bible app. (But it also needs to be said that I spent many more dollars, collectively, on Mantis bible versions and multiple commentaries than I ever invested in any other iOS app!) Unfortunately, the newly updated product looks primitive when compared to the the beautifully efficient study bible being replaced. Plus it offers fewer display options. Finally, restoring all of my past purchases remains, as with past updates, troublesome.

I have been using Bible software for many years. Mantis Bible Study Version 10.1.6., what an amazing update! I can’t wait for the Mac version to come out. Thank you Mantis Bible for this update!!
Enormous disappointment

I used to love the Mantis Bible app and have spent hundreds of dollars on various modules ... it was my go to app for Bible study and Bible teaching. However, Mantis X is so full of bugs and is so slow that it’s an enormous disappointment. For example, in the NASS module, the annoying little green flag denoting a translator note replaces the word it’s supposed to note ... (that annoying little green flag should be replaced by a less obtrusive astrisk in all the Bible modules). It also tells me that an update is available, but then it won’t download the update ... it simply stays at 0%. I’m about ready to ditch Mantis and to write off the money I spent and go for a different Bible app ... possibly Olive Tree. I sure hope the Mantis folks fix things soon ... in fact, they should never have released this version in its present state ... it’s practically useless for study.

Wow, it’s back! But it’s not the same anymore... ? It’s better in most ways, but what made Mantis so fast and easy and my Bible app of choice were the hot corners. And they’re gone. And so is my reason to use this app. Could they please be added back?

Why in the world did you all, totally change the app, which is your right, but didn't let any of your users know that you were going to delete my bookmarks, notes, and history.. Shame on you, and whoever influenced you to undo the work, that many saints took years to accumulate. I hope that what you have done, comes to naught. God Bless?

I’ve used Mantis for many years as I feel it is the best app for biblical word study and for comparing bible translations. The latest version I have is 10.1.19 and this version has everything up and running like it was in Mantis 4. I had a minor problem with a password reset and online support responded in ten minutes with a work around and easy fix. I am very pleased with Mantis X and look forward to using it for years to come.

What happened to quick corner navigation? Full screen mode? Swipe for next and pervious chapter? All of these were very useful. They were what made Mantis my go-to Bible app. Also there is no night (inverse) mode. White with black text drains battery much more quickly than black with white text. I am glad the app is being updated, but seems like a few steps backward.
