Rip. Off. Don’t download. Scam

AAPL Freak

Made the mistake of downloading this and subscribing. Can’t download any issues. Tried restoring. Tried deleting and restoring to no avail. Like many others this developer doesn’t care and is stealing money. Apple needs to shut this down.

A Mac app that doesn’t work on a iPad? Irony!!!

This is a crappy magazine app. The magazine is only available digitally, yet for a year and counting, the app doesn’t work. It requires the user to keep deleting and then reinstalling the app every time you want to open the issue. I’ve complained to them for over a year, and nothing gets fixed. It’s like the rolling stone mag app. Why is it so hard to get this fixed. If I have read an issue, then go back to read the rest of it, I have to delete the app and then reinstall it, log in again. This is the definition of a failed app. And the irony is rich that a Mac magazine can’t get their magazine app to work correctly on Mac hardware like an iPad. Yet the owners of the magazine sit idly by as their magazine, which is no longer available as print issues, looks like the developers who created it and are responsible for it’s maintenance are 90 year olds who are more proficient with Commodore 64 computers. This is super pathetic. But as usual, this complaint will fall on deaf 90 year old ears.

You can review the ads just find but get to a page with an article and it just sits there and thinks. Never loads. Worthless. I hope you will now be sending me magazines by mail as my digital subscription is useless.

Error does not allow current month download

For some reason it only allows you to subscribe monthly, but then every time a new magazine comes out it thinks your subscription is not up to date and waits until your next monthly billing cycle before it allows you to download. This means you have to wait another month after it is available before you can see it. Hopeless!!

Great when it works

This app is so frustrating. A majority of the time it does not recognize my iTunes subscription. I click restore and nothing happens. The only options I get are to buy the issue or subscribe. When I click subscribe it fails saying I already have a current subscription! If it sees I have a current subscription why can’t I download the magazine? Please fix this!

Nothing opens the second time

If I read the magazine in one sitting I have no problems reading it. But..... most times I don’t and when I try to read it the only items that load are the cover and the adds. I then have to delete the app and re-download it so I can re-download the magazine and read it, hopefully finishing this time.

The app is crap. If you want to read the magazine, make sure you either have time to read cover to cover or remember your place, as it will not! Also make sure you have a network connection because even if you download an issue it won’t load the next time without connecting. Seriously needs an overhaul.

The issues frequently disappear, only to take days to reload. Only after signing in and out and then closing and reopening the app no fewer than 6 times do I sometimes get the current issue back. Customer service takes an average of 2 days to get back with limited tech support. Their last response was that my subscription expired a year ago which it did not. Time to move on.

Every time I try to download an issue I have to fight with the app to restore my subscription. Why has this not been fixed?
