New LUMA VMS app for Mac and windows works on both OS, and yes you can zoom with the LUMA app with no problem.. if you have problems with this app, you probably have a terrible network, and should learn about network setup before setting up surveillance. Great product

We’ve been unable to connect for a few days now. Even a product update didn’t help. Our IT service team tells us there is a “system problem” ☹️. So often? Only had it a year and several problems.

Installed App a week ago and still can’t view my cameras. Apparently they are having proxy issues for well over a week. Just getting error code. Please fix this issue.

It would seem that this app was put together by a 5th grader who just got a new computer for her birthday. It is clumsy in functionality, especially when trying to playback recording. Unfortunately, if you are downloading this app it is probably because you have a LUMA surveillance system. IF that’s the case, you have bigger problems than this app.

DO NOT BUY LUMA — Amateurish at best. First, had the high end Magnolia team from Best Buy set up my cameras, network, network recorder, and LUMA app — so no amateurs here. Second, LUMA app is not super intuitive. The interface looks like it was designed as a high school student’s computer lab project. Third, you can’t playback recorded video on the iPhone. Seriously. You have to go on your computer and use just the right browser. This seems to have been an issue for quite awhile judging from other reviews. The fact that Luma has not figured out how to allow an iPhone to view recorded playback after all this time tells you all you need to know.

I cannot access my cameras in a consistent way- they all come up with error code 53 despite resetting the iPad app. The app will also say no record when I try to look back in time. I can look back on the web interface, which only works on Internet Explorer. However I cannot view the cameras on the 16 camera screen in the web interface if they do not support multi stream, but I can see them in this view when I can get the app to work. I am really disappointed in this way overpriced setup my installer sold me on. I am going to probably change it out.
