This app has always been very inconsistent at best, but now after iOS 11 numerous app updates later and it still not working. Will see if I can return the bulbs based on just this app not working. Even if they do get the connectivity problems fixed, the user friendliness of this app is awful and should be avoided.


App and bulb are total failures

The app is constantly failing to see my bulbs even when only a couple of feet away. It will work for a short time and then lose connection to the bulb. When it does this you have to manually cycle power on the bulb for it to see it again. Some versions of the app would go a month between disconnects. Others, like the current version lose connection every single time you use it. (Literally only works once) It's like they hired 6 year olds as programmers and testers. Oh, and when you do cycle power to the bulb to get the app to see it you lose all timers you set. What a waste of money! ? Horrible. I’m going to toss these bulbs and buy ones that actually work. UPDATE: For the past 2 weeks it work once then require me to delete the app and redownload it in order to see the build. As of today it does not see the bulb at all. I’m done. I’m ordering Hues to replace these garbage bulbs.

I never know when the app will work or not work. It's not getting better. It's getting worse. When the bulb blows I won't get another one.

wi-fi update broke my bluetooth connected bulb?

The app worked great in the version with just bluetooth bulbs. Now that wi fo was added in the latest update it seems like the bulbs only connect 1/30 times I open and close the app. It worked great before! What happened?


Yikes! What happened?

Spent a lot of money buying 20 of these bulbs. Opened the app today and see that is was updated 4 days ago and now it only connects to some of my bulbs. I was going to change colors for a party in a few days, not sure what to do now. Maybe I’ll just throw ½ a party? Not happy.

This app is a nightmare. They frankly can’t get this to work properly. Every update just keeps getting worse. To the programmers: get your bulbs to synchronize with the app , debug your program more often . And your widget was a good idea too , when it works! No offense but you should probably look into hiring someone who can actually code. Are you actually listening to the customers complaint??

THEY DELETE THE TIMERS WITH ALMOST EVERY UPDATE. So if you app updates automatically overnight you lights will not turn off or on. It’s a simple thing that has been happening for years. FIX IT!!!!!!
