I knew that Pieces of Sh!t like Google and Facebook were tracking but I had no idea how rampant it was until I installed this app. One week and it has already blocked over 7,000 trackers ( including dozens of attempts every day from Google and FB even though I don't use ANY of their services or visit their websites ). 11/21/2021 UPDATE: As stated in my original review, the Piece of Sh!t trackers continue to try but over and over and over again Lockdown blocks them. This app has been installed on my phone for less than two weeks and already over 15,000 trackers have been stopped! Absolutely awesome app!
Request additional features for VPN

I’m generally pleased with the functionality of this app. What I originally wanted to do was use NextDNS along with a different VPN but that wasn’t possible (both implemented as VPNs). It would be nice to have additional VPN functionality in lockdown to compete with the independent VPNs.
VPN doesn’t work and zero customer service

This is another company that is more than happy to take your money and not provide you with any customer service when the product you are paying them for doesn’t work. Their VPN disconnects itself while you’re trying to actively use it more than it does it’s intended job. And their “customer service” is nonexistent. They don’t care that they took my money yet I’m not getting the benefit of their service…5 minutes of vpn usage doesn’t count to justify a monthly payment. Their pathetically lacking FAQS section and such on their website is a much too small bandaid for the size of wound this company is hemorrhaging from. All software is up to date, internet connection is more than adequate and of course cellular data is turned on, background app refresh is on, low battery mode is always off, there are zero other security products being used, and connect on demand has been tried for long periods of time both on and off…your product still turns itself off and consistently won’t stay on. Yet, after I sent an email almost two week ago and have paid for an entire month of service, I still haven’t received a response from lockdown. If you’re as tired of companies thinking they can screw you over just because you’re a person and not a corporation, then do not use this company.
Tracker blocking is great, VPN not so much

The tracker blocker function works great, but the VPN is lacking key, for me anyway, features. The VPN provides no way to auto disconnect on specific networks, nor does it allow for resolution of internal DNS names, or access to the local network. I also have ongoing issues with a heavy impact to the battery when running the VPN (my day to day usage is fairly consistent). I have contacted support several times, but questions go unanswered for months or completely.

I paid $50 for a year’s subscription to this app. Pretty disappointed and do not recommend. The firewall constantly turns itself off. It doesn’t notify you so you don’t even know unless you happen to open the app. Many reviews state this and it’s true. This is a very infrequently updated app by the developers. For this price I expect frequent updates especially in the case of specific issues listed multiple times in reviews. Also don’t like that you can’t use your own vpn in conjunction with their firewall. Will not purchase again and wish I could get a refund.
Stopped working in the background

I’ve used this app for quite a while now and had little to no issue with it, but as of the last couple days it just suddenly stops as soon as I open any other app, even if I had lockdown open as well. As soon as I switch back to lockdown it will turn from On to Deactivating to Off then back to On, like it turns off and resets as soon as I open the app again. What’s the point of having lockdown if it only works on itself?
