New design

I really like this app I think is useful when you’re trying to do research about a subject, However I don’t like the idea of not having my folders besides my articles like before, it’s just not that intuitive, but despite that I still think this is a great app and I would definitely recommended.

So close...

AKnigge

Currently, I am using liner to highlight webpages that I am needing for school on my Ipad. The functionality is great, but I believe that it should be changed to act more as an independent search engine, rather than kind of sort of its own engine... Remove the top margin, I don’t know why this is there Add webpage navigation Allow the use of multiple tabs. Reading list, etc Basically just make it safari but it’s own thing, incorporating the awesome note taking ability. I shouldn’t have to use this in addition to a search engine when it acts SO CLOSE to a normal engine. Please do this stuff! It make this app an absolute 5 star necessity

Good concept. Keep evolving.

Highlighting is part of my learning style. It helps to embed what I read. The process can be cumbersome' but it evolves gradually. Keep simplifying the process. I like the "save process."

Glitchy On the First Day

Jellygteen

I downloaded this to help keep track of the many articles I read online. The first article worked just fine, but after that I have been able to either 1) upload and highlight, as in I upload the article and choose begin highlighting, but as soon as I highlight, the app freezes. 2) highlight but won’t save, which is what truly sparked this low review. A long article that I annotated with highlights and notes is bare. I spent an hour and a half mulling over this article because it was complex, and now I have no notes at all. Seems like a great idea, but only if it works right.

Great concept but doesn’t work on iOS

cammonro

I am unable to highlight anything even using the app’s built in web browser. After selecting text I don’t even get the option. I tried adding the highlighting widget to my other apps like Chrome etc but Apple won’t let you highlight. Instead you have to share the page which opens the LINER app and again you can’t highlight from the built in web browser. I’m running iOS 11.4 LINER works great on my laptop though. Shame I can’t use it on the phone. Giving two stars since the app at least lets you read your highlights.

Doesn’t work

need a way to highlight

It doesn’t work on iPad Pro

Worst app

They want the publicity through you. You got to share this with your contacts and then other conditions. Lot of ifs and buts

Are You guys serious?

Cannot use it for good.

Excellent - would upgrade to premium if Android as well

I use this as a tool in language learning and for online research, the latter in tandem with a reference manager. It’s really unparalleled. I do wish they had an android version of the app so I could use it on my tablet.

A staple for Paperwriting

seanslim

I use this app for keeping track of the main points of papers I reference for academic research. Highlighted papers are also useful for sharing ideas with collaborators. The app has undergone constant improvement and it is a productivity dream come true. Additional features that would make this app the absolute BOMB: 1. Being able to export highlights based on color 2. Batch export of all highlights in a folder with one-click
