Excellent

I lost my fitbit and I found it with this even though the battery was SO low! This is free, no need to pay for the other types. You will see a list of Bluetooth devices it finds when you open it. Find the Alta or whatever you are looking for in the list. On the left there are some bars that will turn blue as you get closer - the more bars, the closer you are. I also used my fitbit app and saw which room it synced quickly with. Then I walked around the room and saw where the signal was strongest by number of blue bars. My fitbit had attached itself to a hanger in my closet - had totally given up on it as the battery was dead but gave it one more shot and found it - good luck!

Doesn’t help find Fitbit

FrenchMonkey

This app is linked in a FitBit.com help article for finding lost FitBit dongles. Set aside for a minute the infuriating fact that something like a finder should be built into FitBit, given the stats they publish on how many calls per month they get for lost trackers. OK. Moving on. I think this app is an interesting piece of work (hence three stars despite not performing what I assume is its core function) but it did not help find my Fitbit Flex2 tracker. I found it myself by nearly stepping on it as I retraced my steps with the app literally in hand. Fortunately, the dongle has fallen out of the band and onto the floor out in the open rather than behind or in something as is usual for me. Clearly this is not the first time I’ve lost or replaced a tracker, nor will it be the last. Unfortunately this app will not be helpful next time as I already uninstalled it and won’t be using it again. I found the app difficult to figure out; I’m not sure I ever did. It never located the Fitbit even after I found it, still with medium battery. In fact it only ever found one device although there were at least two more in the vicinity with Bluetooth enabled.

I lost my Fitbit for 4 days and was about to give up then I searched and found this app. Found it in under 10 minutes in my purse if all places!!! The tracker worked awesome. Definitely keeping this app.

Invaluable for BLE developers

AutoDog

I can't imagine trying to develop BLE products without this app... A truly indispensable diagnostic and development tool.

Well, I lost my Fitbit - knew I had it before I went into a Steinmart store the other day. Searched for what to do and found this app. Really didn't know how it worked, but when I entered the store, a "One" came up on the app. OK, so I lost a One - so maybe mine? Or it could have been someone else in the store wearing "One"? Anyway - moved to each dressing room I was in earlier - the "One" greyed out - asked if anyone found a Fitbit - no, nothing in lost and found. Near the cash register I was getting a stronger signal from the app, so I started my Fitbit app - and it synced! So I knew MY Fitbit was nearby - but where? Asked the cashiers to look around... Keep "pinging" the Fitbit - people thought I was playing Pokemon LOL! Narrowed the search to one cash register area - asked the cashier to look in a drawer - and there was my Fitbit! Amazing!

Love this app!

LightBlue is fantastic. It's led me to my "lost" FitBit 3 times, including once in my backyard in a cunning location where I wouldn't ever have found it otherwise, even by accident.
