It appears the app is working better again since my last review. It's still a few minutes lapse from how it used to work (time lapse in seconds), but I'm on the free version, so I can't complain, other than to give it 4 stars. Update 9/15/16 Works a lot faster these days, this is definitely working better.

Great app although at times it is a little off. Not that big of a deal for me though. Still love that I can keep up with my family and this app helps me do just that!

Folks, it doesn't get better than this location sharing app - and I use the free version. Negligible battery drain unbelievably, ability to see my family member's battery levels and get alerted should they drop very low, and accuracy is top notch. If you are having problems with accuracy then it is probably because you don't have Apple Location Services enabled which takes advantage of not only GPS but wifi network location and cell phone tower triangulation worst case scenario. I can see the history of where I've been or where my sister has disappeared to since I'm a protective older brother. The greatest feature and reason why battery usage by this app is so low is because they use geofencing. Geofencing as the name implies creates a virtual fence around your iDevice's location that allows you to tag and name places and get alerted if you wish when a person leaves or enters that geofence. Once inside a geofence the app has no reason to update your location till you leave - hence the extreme battery savings. Thank you developers of Life360 - you've developed an application that keeps my parents from having heart attacks (and is easy enough to use by them)!

I have had this app for many years. Our local newscast was talking about safety and showcased the app to alert neighbors to sexual predators and crime. That was not what attracted me to the site, but it was the history tracking that was available. Being self employed we have been using this app to track our hours at job sites. I do not like the changes that have been made. The trips are not real time and extremely in accurate drawing lines through neighborhoods that clearly were not traveled. I am in the App Store looking for a suitable replacement. I will no longer suggest this app to others.
