Bluetooth improvements

newlexus

Upgrades in technology desperately needed!! The expectation of Lexus is to be the best of the best! Upgrade your Bluetooth technology. I should not have to plug in my phone to use data/navigation on my console. If Chevrolet can do it, to be sure Lexus SHOULD BE ABLE TO DO IT!! So far of all the vehicles I have owned Chevrolet has the BEST technology/seamless Bluetooth connect...hands down!

Great app when it works

4 camera owner

But that’s a rarity. Constantly Needs to be reconnected, I’ve given up on the app, this may be my last Lexus

There’s No There There...

Just got a new 2020 RX350. I’ve driven some version of the RX since 2006, so I know the brand. Bought all the bells and whistles. Overall, it’s a lovely vehicle. Having problems getting the new Enform App Suite to work? Stop trying. The 2020 2.0 version of the Lexus Enform App Suite seems to basically be a shell. There are no apps. You have to use the apps provided by android or iOS on your smart phone. You can also add Alexa or a similar service, but the manufacturer has not added anything extra...And apparently neglected to tell that to the folks in customer support because their scripted, repetitive answers are worthless. The Lexus and Lexus Drivers apps are really just data collection systems that report your driving and maintenance habits in real time. They also organize info on the car’s overall status, and send service reminders. There is no connection between these applications and Lexus Enform 2.0. After 4 or 5 calls to the customer service line yielding no resolution to the Enform problem, I was told to take the car back to the dealership for help. I made an appt. with the technical specialist. He contacted the service support team and got the same scripted, unhelpful responses I did. After trying everything in his own arsenal, he said “ I’m going to call them back.” The person who answered that time (the 6th or 7th “customer service specialist”) said “oh, it’s a 2020? There are no apps to load. She should use Apple CarPlay.” Duh! You would think they might have plastered that message across their employees’ computer screens. Seems to have been poorly executed, with a reduced sense of quality; and shows either complacency, or a complete failure to properly plan and execute the launch of the latest in a very lucrative line. Disappointing to say the least. Especially when I have to waste my time.

Garbage Ap, Totally Useless

@KaiaJ

This is the worst interface ive ever seen btw an ap and a vehicle. Ive been leasing Lexus cars for over 9 years and after 6 vehicles, the 2011 car is the only one that had a nav that just worked. Now i drive a NX300 and pay $650/mo and still have a completely useless screen. Ive gotten two tickets for violating the phone in hand law simply bc of this totally useless ap and incompatible interface to the vehicle. Ive been in far cheaper cars that had touch screens, built in nav and easy control of phone ap to screen connection. Im so beyond frustrated w this idiotic low cost option lexus chose to install wout any ability to override that i will quit lexus after this.

No excuse for this...

This app is beyond worthless. A competent undergraduate could have written something better during a summer internship. Going through all the flaws is a useless exercise in a review...there are simply too many of them I’m extremely disappointed in Lexus. They either need to prioritize fixing it or my next car will be from a different manufacturer.

Poorly designed. Crashes a lot

Alex Feinman

1. Crashes after 5-10 seconds. Hard to disable on the dash side 2. Back when it worked - what’s the big idea with it forcibly coming into foreground whenever Bluetooth connection is established? It’s not like it offers any in-app functionality other than disconnect button. Which by the way is absolutely pointless 3. I use Apple CarPlay. I wish I could disable this completely, especially considering I have zero interest in value added apps it offers
