Thanks for taking a look at my app! I designed this because, as a parent, I wanted an app that would teach my kids shapes in a fun and positive way.
Giving kids the opportunity to learn in a guided way, and then also including a fun shape-oriented activity is the best way to build retention of new concepts.
In this app your children will enjoy the following steps to shape learning:
•Learn
Each group of shapes will be presented individually, shown to the child, and then a description of that shape will be given.
"This is a Circle. A Circle is Round. Touch the Circle."
•Touch
After presentation of the shapes, your child will be asked to touch the correct shape from a group of three shapes.
"Touch the Circle."
•Match
After touching shapes, your child will be asked to use their finger to drag and drop to match shapes.
This is a free play area where they can do any shapes in any order.
•Play
After completing the learning exercises, children will be able to choose from 16 different shape puzzles to further reinforce their learning through play!
Shapes Included in the app cover all essential Pre-K shapes that children should know and be able to identify before kindergarten.

The screenshots looked okay for this, but upon downloading I realized it has NO SOUND. What this means is that my 2 year old who is learning shapes is expected to read directions??? I can sit next to her and read them for her, but then we can just do that with one of her toys, what’s the app doing for us? By the time she learns to read she will be way beyond what this app purports to teach... I don’t understand what age this could be intended for? The other big problem is the game design. Most of the activities can be accomplished by tapping the screen repeatedly and randomly. My daughter got bored within seconds.

I think this is a great app! My son is on the autism spectrum and he really enjoys sitting down and playing this. The only problem he had was using his finger and matching up the shapes but other than that no problems at all. I highly recommend this app to any one with a preschool child!

We have a variety of games on an iPad in our waiting room for kids to use. It's amazing to see how quickly they pick up on their shapes!

I got this game for my 3 year old to play on longer car trips instead of watching movies. I showed it to him at home the other day and he loved it. His face lit up each time he got something right, but he was not discouraged when he was incorrect. There is a section where he learns a few shapes. Then it moves to shape matching. Then there is a puzzle he can choose using different shapes which makes a fun picture. At each section my 3 year old says, "Oo, I love this part.". This game is fun and teaches shapes, fantastic!

A great kid-focused app that our children love... I wouldn't hesitate to buy this just for the shape matching (and one less clunky toy). The puzzles are an added bonus that engages our kids more than I expected and stretches the value even further.

Learn Shapes! has excellent pictures and sound to help young children learn about geometrical shapes. Starting out by identifying simple shapes, the program then builds on these shapes by combining shapes into objects such as trains. This program allows young children to solve simple puzzles, and allows older children to see how different shapes can be combined to make complex objects.

What an awesome game. I bought this for my grandkids. They are loving it. What a great fun way to learn all about shapes. Keeps them entertained for a long time. Cool puzzles too that are fun and reinforce the introduced shapes. Highly recommend this app!

My 2-year old absolutely loves this app and has since he was 14-16 months. The only thing that would make it better was if the prompts (I.e., "touch a triangle") were not interruptible. My impatient little toddler doesn't want to wait for instructions, so he basically just hits random shapes until he chooses the right one. If the choices were locked until the prompt was complete it would enhance the experience. But that's a small complaint when I consider the hours of enjoyment he's gotten from this game. Well worth it.
