Needs different font options

Bee19930

This would be a great app if it offered other fonts for the kanji. The calligraphy style seems like it is hardly used for day to day needs, it would be nice to have an option to choose which font to study with.

Summer Read(Along)ing

03/23/17 UPDATE Also, check out Scribe Origins for native speakers and a helpful algorithm. JSensei has sentences too, but no algorithm approach like Kanji! does. 03/21/17 On completing Lesson 5, I got the request to review. So here: Create a companion app for Conning's KLC based on this app. You have something special here and teaming it up with a book forwarded by Halpern will be very useful. Only, 4 stars because I dislike computer voices, but appreciate your efforts to reduce download time. Readers look to JSensei for real voices, but do purchase this app for the algorithm, no regrets so far. Nice work HP and thank you!

Good app

Even though the kanji is still tough for me, but it's really helping me get an understanding on the vocabulary in kanji. I'm self studying and this app is worth the $10.00. I agree with putting in a writing feature in this. It would help me out more on memorizing them more. Still recommend it despite the pros an cons. It works for me.

こんにちは 私のなまえばフェストです。i been trying to learn Japanese for the pas couple of weeks and i have to say that this app has helped me a lot understanding how to write sentences and interprete kanji. there is a sister app just like this one but it is for katakana and hiragana witch has also help me tons. ii use both of the almost every day although Japanese is not easy to learn this apps combine will put things as simple as posible for any English language speaker!

My ADHD is tamed!

Nex415

One of my biggest problems with Japanese apps is the inability to keep my focus. Japanese kanji is already easily the hardest part of learning the language, so you can imagine how much harder it is when you throw ADHD into the mix, but this app keeps me focused and learning. The repeated questions really help the kanji stick!

Very Useful

It is a great price deal to buy all JLPT levels for only $9.99. I use this in addition to WaniKani so I can learn faster and quicker. It is a great app. I highly recommend it. My only complaint is the font. Its off putting and it takes me longer to recognize the kanji and even the hiragana sometimes. Mostly the kanji though. It would be nice to have an option to turn it off. But I guess it is okay so I can learn to recognize it faster.

Straight to the Point

Fartface3.0

I used WaniKani for months, and as detailed as it was, there were some things that I feel cluttered the application up a bit. This application, on the other hand, is super minimal and to the point and I love it. Just starting out, but things are going great so far. My only criticism is that the font for the kanji is a bit hard to read at times. If they could use a much more simple font, that would be perfect.

Spent money

I spent $10 on all the lessons but the app doesn't open any of the lessons.

I can really read kanji now

900tones

This is my favorite app on iOS. I can't say it's the best or easiest way to learn Kana and kanji, but I've been able to memorize my kana fasted than any of my friends due to the app reminding me when I need to review past completed lessons. I'm on to the sentences now and feel so much more confident about my reading abilities now!
